Last year's game is on NFLN right now. I love this channel.

I cant beleive the number of drops SD receivers had in that game.

What an upgrade at the WR position for us. Watching a game from last year after watching this year, its day and night.

True - so many drops & so many "off" passes by TB. We were also robbed of a clear fumble by Gates (recovered by Vrabel) at the Charger 1 yd. line on their first drive. I wonder if the call on that would have been different this year without the "football move" nonsense.

chargers were lucky that wasn't a blowout.

i dont know about that. it was a very hard fought game. They were pinned deep on practically every drive.

It's like watching a handicapped Patriots team

Brady just made a 10 yard pass to Troy while we were on the 2 yard line ... phew!!! :p

Punted a few downs later ... fumble ... PATRIOT BALL ... WOOOO HOOOO!!!!

This offense is like night and day. No way this weekend we only have 10 points in 2 and a half quarters.

I think Saurbrun had more punts in that game than Hanson has had all year. There's the big fumble on the mishandled punt. The Marty Face makes its first appearance.

Brady should have gotten more MVP votes last year, that recieving core was ridicolous,....imagine if we squeked by INDY and won the super bowl..with THAT team...unreal

The Florence penalty ... dumb a-hole.

I love this game and I love watching Rivers and LT cry...Just like they are going to do Sunday

Mankins had 2 penalties on this drive ... I forgot that.

We scratched and clawed for every play with that offense.

Thinking back, these seems to be so many times when a bonehead plays or teams failing to step up gave the Pats a second life. The Florence penalty is one, the Troy Brown strip coming up in another. Thinking back, the goalline stop vs indy, the TO versus Baltimore this year.

And rarely does it go the other way.

The classy face mask there that wasn't called. We definatley earned this win. The offense looks slow and sluggish. Even the line is letting Brady get hit almost every pass.

You'll still find people around here who can cite statistics proving that our WRs last year were among the best ever and that there was no need to upgrade the position.

Just amazing what respect for the deep game - or the lack thereof - does to a team's ability to put pressure on the line, the QB, and even stuff the run.

Statistics won't show what most of our eyeballs saw last year - and that was a very flawed team that over-achieved (as usual)... but one doesn't bury their head in the sand and refuse to upgrade clear areas of weakness.

Is it me or did our line make a huge jump from last year to this year? It seems like every pass there is a Charger either hitting or about to hit Brady. Our average wideouts last year yet San Diego blitz us every play it seems as they had no respect for our pass catchers.

there is the Troy Brown strip and the totally moronic challenge by Marty. I guess they didnt need the TO.

McCree with such a dumb error there. 4th down just knock it down. And Marty challenging that? I forgot he compounded one brain fart with another brain fart.
