Every Year, Holmgren 'might retire', media plays it up, he goes off, comes back, and decides to keep coaching.

you know what? I don't want to know what someone 'might' do or is 'thinking about' doing. Let me know when they do it.

same with Garrett interviewing for head coaching jobs, and then staying where he is. You know what? don't interview then. he used those teams and I'd be bull if I where them. if he was gonna stay and be jones' lapdog, like a fool, then he shouldn't have mislead these organizations. Just find it annoying.

Same with trades. Twins might trade santana. call me when they do. Just sick of all the headlines that wind up never happening.

Hang tight. Soon we'll have the monthly press conference from Favre to get his deep thoughts.

hah !
I know, what's up with that? he goes on and on, and talks about these football issues like he was saving civilization or something. he sounds so freakin serious. and it's on all the time. I think it's because he knows he's near the end so it's all real important to him.

it's definately weird though!

What will the NFL be without him? Surely it will collapse. And if St Dungy goes too? The NFL as we know it, is over.

Wouldn't surprise me at all-like with Parcells in his last years of coaching, Holmgren JUST doesn't have the fire anymore. Instead of the usual fire and getting in his players' faces, he looks nothing more than a granddaddy who's just trying to (barely)go through the motions. And plus he looks like he's AGED a good 40 years too!

And for that matter too, as time has worn on, the Hawks just looked more and more unprepared for games(i.e. they lost to CAROLINA recently), which is pretty much a mark of a burnt out coach like we see with Holmgren.

I think what has him bummed the most is shaun alexander looking like he's lost it, and if so, all his work may be for not and more rebuilding may be needed.
it's a lot of effort, but then again, he loves it, and after resting some, he figures, I'll just find another back and we'll be fine.
