I was thinking it would be kind of cool to wear the throwbacks when we get to the bowl! Red or White. kind of an omage and a nice slight to the old and decrepid Dolphins from 72' that keep rippin our boys! I would like to see the Throwback Helmets even for all those players and teams that go us here! GO PATS!!!!

No. The Patriots have never won a Superbowl in the Red Jerseys.
Save those for throwback week, not for the most important game of the year.

IMHO, no thank you. I'd rather not re-live (albeit on some level somewhere) the SB against daaaaaa bears. You can talk about salvage of that memory all you want. I think it's bad mojo.

Let's get there first. :)

Good call, I stand corrected for even thinking about it. Please forgive me Nation, I was bored.... or maybe ******ed. But the Silver would be sweet!

Is there nothing better to do than waste the forum on your fantasies of something that is NEVER going to happen and to which you already know this?

- Get a grip and post something that actually has a possibility please.

Try using the brain on a realistic situation or event so we have something intelligent to talk about.

Not to forget that theres a pretty good team called the Chargers NE has to beat first to get anywhere.

I think AFC is home this year, so we'd be in blue.

No the silver would not be sweet, those jerseys sucked and red for all the reasons stated already. I'll go with ******ed for starting this thread...........

Well, I think the silver jerseys are pretty cool, myself. ;)

I think in the SB the color of the team's jersey and whether the field is AFC or NFC turf is irrelevant. Remember that SBs 38 & 39 both took place in AFC stadiums and the Pats wore blue and white respectively.

So if the Pats do make it to Arizona next month, its 50-50 that its white or blue.

I think the silver could possibly be even worse. 1. It was just made for marketing reasons...if they really wanted to have an "alternate" jersey they could have used the old school's like most teams and 2. It just looks like dirty white jerseys. Why didn't they go with a darker silver?

No, they will wear blue unless something out of the ordinary happens. The host stadium, whether its in the AFC or NFC, has nothing to do with who's the home team. Each year they switch between the conferences and it's the AFC's turn to be the home team this year. Last season the AFC was the road team so the Bears got to choose what uniforms they wanted to wear and of course they picked their usual dark blue jerseys, forcing the Colts to wear white. However the year before that when the AFC was the home team, the Steelers chose to wear the white jerseys because if you recall they had won all of their playoff games on the road up to that point.

Home teams gets the choice of uniforms. So, assuming we can beat San Diego, we would be able to choose.

Red isn't an option, because it's not one of our uniforms.

IF we were to go to an alternative jersey for the SB, which I dont see a snowball's chance in hell happening btw, we should wear throwbacks to the 96-97 season if GB makes it in.

That would avenge the loss 11 years ago nicely.

Yeah I say we wear the silver pants and white jerseys with shadow number fonts and those funky reflective stripes.

Or maybe not.
