2-7 in the last 9; not sure if that counts the Jacksonville game that we came close to covering but didn't quite.

I think you could save a lot of money saying just this to a bookie:

"Hey, my team came close to covering, but didn't quite."

Bookies are very sympathetic.

:)

Understood - that wasn't exactly my intent with that comment.

I don't care. If they win by 1 that's good enough for me. I know people, even fans, bet on games.

I could never really enjoy a game if I put money on it and then had to be concerned if they cover.

Getting Pats -13.5 is obviously much better and is still available. Like anything else, you need to shop around.

Exactly my feelings as well. I just want them to win, win, win. I would prefer a blowout every time, as it's easier on the cadiovascular and nervous systems, but a W is a W. Period, Full Stop.

That spread is absurd. The game will be closer than 14 points.

I see a 10 point game, mostly due to the close. It won't be close in the actual play though. but I'd expect a tie going or a slight lead into the 3rd.

They beat the Bills by 46, the Steelers by 21, and the Dolphins by 21. I can't imagine they didn't cover in at least a couple of those.
