Patchick has pointed this out deep in another thread, but this deserves it's own.

(note: this link doesn't work - - but the one posted by Patchick below - - post #15 in this thread, does)

According to the attorney, It was her FINGER! It was not even cut or fractured. Her attorney advised her to go to the hospital the next day and all they know is that the x-rays were negative. She ended up with a splint on her finger. This is the extent that Moss' side knows from the Rachelle Washington lawyer extortion attempt. She never even claimed that he hit her.

Nice find.
I don't see why people have to jump to conclusions so fast and then question his moral character. Last time I check, this is football and a football board :)

Jeez...I don't even know how to respond to something like that. As a woman, I really don't like where this is going because it really makes my gender look bad. I find it hard to believe that she did all this for a mere finger injury. But if this is accurate, WOW...just wow.

Just so everyone doesn't have to wade through that other thread that has gone on several tangents, patchick posted this:

Just want to highlight this:

With thanks to a Planet poster, here's a radio interview Randy's attorney:

http://a1135.g.akamai.net/f/1135/182...-_KFAN_AM_1130

Some quotes:

"He was in her home, had dinner, watched a playoff game, there was some horseplay that took place, consensual horseplay. In the course of that, she got her finger hurt. She's never even claimed that he hit her.

...

"He left the home within 45 minutes to an hour after this happened. He helped her put ice on her finger."

No. This is no reflection on women in general (despite many of the juvenile statements made by some of the guys on this and other sites). This is about ONE person.

Misogyny IS a problem in society. However, as the details come out, this is looking more and more like a heinous example of extortion.

If someone heard the whole interview, any details on what's going to happen next? Do they expect some sort of civil suit or something from her side? Is Randy going to be physically present at that hearing on the 28th?

I know what you mean Shmessy, but this is not the first time that a woman has accused a man of something that might not be the truth just to get money. Stuff like this really bothers me, because it can make things harder for other women when they try to prove their cases in court.

The summary:

They will have a Florida attorney appear to represent him, Randy won't go to the hearing. They don't intend to contest the restraining order because he has no interest in going anywhere near the woman "for a hundred different reasons."

No civil suit has been filed as of yet, but if one is "they'll deal with it." For now, football.

Remember the woman passenger in the vehicle Lindsey Lohan chased. The woman sued Lohan for a six fugure sum claiming the incident caused so much trauma, she was unable to work, and she had to give up her $60K a year job.

As a woman, I really don't like where this is going because it really makes my gender look bad.
Don't worry, DR/LPF, both genders look bad at a high rate :D Women do for this kind of thing but with almost all violent crime committed by men we can give your a REALLY good run for your money. It's not a "women suck" or "men suck" thing, it's a "too many people suck" thing.

Exactly. However, there have been some VERY general statements made by some posters.

It's best (and most accurate) to keep the statements to this particular case (which now appears to be an attempted railroading). If anyone has problems relating to women, go see a professional. This board is not the place to work it out.

I've got a finger for her.

This is without a doubt the dumbest story I have ever heard in my entire life. In fact it is so stupid it makes you wonder if there are other reasons or other people behind this who fiasco.

No reflection on women in general ?? So what your saying, if this turns out to be extortion, it'll have no effect on people's impressions the next time a NFL player is accused in the same way ??

Listen, between the Dukes case, this and other cases where it's turns out there's a false accusation, it effects everyone !! Now a woman who has been attacked and comes forward has too worry about her claims being questioned " She's just looking for her 15 minutes of fame " The fact this happens has a HUGE impact on women, honestly, when this first broke, how many people assumed Randy didn't do anything, lots I'm sure !

I've said it before, I'll say it again. If a person makes a false claim that causes the accused to face potential jail time, then it's proven the accuser made false claims, they should face the same potential jail time of the person they falsely accused

1) I agree with you about if it turns out that Rachelle Washington is railroading here (as it increasingly looks). She should have the book thrown at her and would deserve it.

2) However, there are 3 billion women in the world. Because of the actions of a few evil ones, you think it should reflect on all? How about, lumping OJ, Klaus Von Bulow, Charles Manson and Jack the Ripper and saying "You can't trust a man"????

The radio guy asks Friedberg (Moss' Lawyer) if this might have anything to do with San Diego fans behind it. Friedberg laughs and says something to the effect that he has no idea, but crazier things have happened.

My take? Nope. The alleged extortion attempt occurred on Friday, before the SD upset of the Colts.

Don't forget, the woman lives in Florida. Rozzie Franco is a "reporter" in Daytona Beach. The Pats were 48 hours away from playing the Jacksonville Jaguars.

........hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm.

Shmessy, I don't think that poster was saying it should reflect on all women, but rather fearing that it would.

Thanks for the clarification, Patchick. In that case, I would have to sadly agree.
