It's not his fault , it s how he is directed .Without a good movie director , a movie or a commercial will stink real bad.

I live in CT (duh ), and have yet to see the Welker ad. Pretty much every other one, though. I'd love to see just how good/bad/hysterical it is.

True story, BTW--some friends of the family are here on green cards. One of them was planning to get some furniture, and knowing about Bob's prices, decided to check them out. As she entered the store, she saw a life-size cutout of Bob himself. She was so disturbed that she turned around and walked away.

If folks go, "wow that was a witty smart ad", "yes, brilliant did you catch what it was they were selling", "no", "me neither but damm that was funny"

you have a sucky ad

If folks start threads on fan boards that mention the name of the company that made the ad.

I haven't seen the ad on tv, but I did hear the radio commercial once. I was kind of surprised to hear Wes on a Bob's commercial. I guess you have to start somewhere.

That story is frikkin' hillarious! As annoying as Bob's commercials are, he really has built an empire.

Because I'm sure you're all looking for some Bob's trivia-the blonde lady in the commercials isn't his wife and gets some evil looks and pointed comments in public when she's spotted with her real husband. (She used to live next to my parents and they still go out to dinner a couple times a year.) You can all die in peace now.

Bob's Furniture STILL does annoying commercials? Are you kidding me? I moved to Indiana from Connecticut in 1995, and he was doing annoying commercials back then too! How in the world does that work out?
