If you're bored this Saturday, the East-West Shrine game is on. Lots of good prospects are playing. For Example:
Those second-and-third tier QBs that could turn out to be the next diamond in the rough. My favorite is Sam Kellar, but also playing are Anthony Morelli, Paul Smith, Kevin O'Connell, and Josh Johnson.
Other players we've discussed...or at least I have:
RB Marcus Thomas UTEP (My favorite sleeper RB)
WR Jason Rivers Hawaii
WR Todd Blythe Iowa St (Scouting Report, MidwestPatsFan?)
TE Joe Jon Finley Oklahoma
TE Craig Stevens California
TE Drew Atchison William & Mary
OG Jeremy Zuttah Rutgers
OT Duane Brown Virginia Tech (Particular favorite of mine)
OT John Greco Toledo
DT Frank Okam Texas
LB Jonathan Goff Vanderbilt
CB Trae Williams South Florida
CB Jonathan Zenon LSU
CB Dwight Lowery San Diego St
S Jamie Silva Boston College
And I paid some attention to lesser known linebackers on the rosters:
Jameel McClain Syracuse 6'1" 256 (I've seen him. Best on a bad defense.)
Stanford Keglar Purdue 6'2" 247
Curtis Gatewood Vanderbilt 6'3" 245 (Interesting everybody mentions Goff. Ochmed, scouting report on Gatewood?)
And finally, TCU has a pair of undersized DLs, Chase Ortiz and Tommy Blake, that are 6'3" and 255. I'd love to see how fast and quick they move, and wonder if they couldn't be drafted in the late rounds/signed as UDFA, and be given a shot at ILB.
