Full text of the blog entry:

Reached after his team's practice today at Gillette Stadium, Patriots coach Bill Belichick addressed allegations against receiver Randy Moss.

"I spoke with and I support Randy 100 percent," Belichick said.

Belichick did not comment further regarding the situation.

IMO: Hey, if Randy was up front and honest with BB, why would BB have any reason not to support Randy?

A classic BB minimalist response designed to get people to move on and not make the player think he's done anything wrong (in BB's eyes) 4 days before a huge game.

Let's talk Chargers!!

Distractions my ass. Nice to see Belichick come out and say this. :)

Moss said he spoke to Belichick before the Jags game, right? Anyone want to imagine that conversation?

Randy: Coach, I got to tell you something.
Belichick: Yes?
Randy: Someone...I mean this girl I know....a friend....she's trying to...you know...there was this accident...
Belichick: *stares*
Randy: I think she wants money? And she keeps saying if I don't give her any, she'll ruin me...she'll come out in public with this before the game...
Belichick: *stares*
Randy: So...what should I do coach?
Belichick: *stares*
Randy: I'm thinking I should just focus on football?
Belichick: *Nods head very slowly*
Randy: Uh, thanks coach.
Belichick: Anytime Randy.

You're right Deb! I can't believe we have 5 or 6 threads going on about the Moss story. We have so many great things going on, but many just love to gossip & speculate. No wonder celebrity shows are so popular the the under 30 generation!

To me, it's not interesting in the least. i could care less what Randy did or didn't do....I don't get it.

Hahahaha, that's great.

Not to mention their conversation probably went exactly like that.

Ofcourse BB supports Randy, we all do........................

Man would I like to have been that dust bunny in the corner of BB's office when Randy walked his 6'4" teradactle frame into the room.

Randy "23 paydirts":

"Hi Coach, I ah.... have something to tell you, not really good news"
"You see, there's this....................."

BB - "Mr. Spit in the face of Maximum Turmoil":

"Hi Randy, nice to see you, grab a seat"

"You look good Randy are you going to go with the full fro or stick with the rows for Sunday?"

"Ah good, you look good either way chief"

"Ah no problem Rand-man, chick's a gold-digger, don't worry about it"

"Now get you a@@ down there and join your band of brothers and family of greatness down on the practice field, they got your back. They've been waiting for you"

Bottom line, NOTHING, NOTHING will get in the way of this team. As a matter of fact, I think this situation, alot like the first time we played the Chargers will bond the team to new levels. If I'm Marlon McCree right now, I'm worried.

I think that you fail to take into consideration the significance of allegations of misconduct which necessitate the involvement of the courts. This includes allegations which have no merit.

You may not be interested in the details surrounding the allegations. You are probably interested in whether these allegations have ANY possible impact, either positively or negatively, on the performance of any members of the team.

As I have written previously, if someone were to make similar allegations against me, I would have a hard time just "ignoring" them.

If someone did this to me, I'd get a tough female friend of mine to kick her butt...plain & simple

I doubt you really mean this. I realize to a certain extent all fans root for the laundry, and we give guys a wide path on a lot of stuff. But to say you don't care if he did something horrible or not is strange to me.

Then you and your female friend would be facing witness intimidation charges. Really now, if someone is going to call the cops once, what makes you think they won't do it again?

I hope that you are not suggesting that Randy Moss take this approach.

Preview of the next BB press conference

Q: Moss seems to be implying that the DV case is extortion.

BB: You would have to ask him about that. My focus this week is on the SD Chargers.

Q: Do you have an opinion on it?

BB I have said everything I am going to say on the matter. My focus is the SD Chargers this week.

Q: Will Moss be available for comment?

BB: That is up to him. My focus this week is on the SD Chargers.

Q: Has this been a distraction at all to the team

BB: My focus this week is on the SD Chargers, that is who we are playing this Sunday. Does anybody have any questions relating to this week football game......No. Thank you everybody.

Glad to see BB addressed this, usually coaches ignore this stuff or say something stupid and somehow it does not go away..

 LOL HAHA

All we know is there is an allegation. We also know that over the course of the season -- were it not wrong to judge him in the first place -- he's shown class and poise in the face of a lot of naysaying.

He asked one thing, which is that we not rush to judgment.

The very fact that he gives a damn what a fan base thinks speaks volumes.

I'm with him 100%, and I think most Patriots fans feel the same way.

The only thing he has to worry about is if Norv Turner appeals for a restraining order to keep him 50 yards from the San Diego end zone.

I SWEAR I have heard these answers before! :D

I freaking love Bill Belichick. More than Moss, Bruschi, Troy Brown, and even Brady. I wouldn't say it's what every NFL coach should be, because I am sure people love the St. Dungy's and the Jerry Glanville's of the world. As for me, I will take the coach that cares about football and not the frivilous crap like writing books or making sure they are liked by the media. Rock on, Coach!:rocker:

BB supports Randy, I support Randy. That's how it works in my universe.

That's because you are thinking. Its a stupid story right now, so in order to appreciate it, you need to be, well, stupid. Stop using your brain, and virtually every media story suddenly becomes very interesting.

I'll let it go this time, but try not to be thinking around here again, okay?
