its so funny how week after week, fans of other teams come in and talk about how their team is gonna beat the patriots, and EVERY week, they are wrong, and are not to be sceen again. You chargers fans already had your chance this year, and you lost. And yes, actually it is the same team that we played in week 2, and I hate when people say its not. It's the 2007-2008 chargers, just like week 2.

Yeah, it's terrible when fans of underdog teams actually think there team might have a chance in a game. I'm sure you all felt the same way against the Rams all those years ago.

Sometimes you have such a bad attitude. Do you know why I feel like the Chargers don't have a chance? Because I respect your team! I watched that game and have no idea how you lost it. You played worse than you have all season. It was a pathetic performance. I feel better about our chances after watching your team lay down! I have no idea how the Chargers fans or players walk away from that game feeling good about themselves, but if they do, good for them.

Sorry Rob, I'm a Bolts fan and I think the Patriots will win this weekend.

They're injury free. They made some great off-season moves. Brady's playing the best he has ever played (did you see that string of completions vs. Jacksonville?). Coaching is superb. 17-0 record. I could go on and on.

Chargers will put up a good fight, but I'm afraid it won't be good enough.

The only rationalization as to why this Patriots team won't be considered the best team ever would be from die hard football fans. The reasoning would be that Brady plays in an era where quarterbacks are pampered like no other. That if he was subjected to getting the snot beat out of him each and every game the Pats may not have gone undefeated this year. There's some truth to that, although it doesn't take away from what they've done this year at all.

Don't opposing team have Quarterbacks also?

Roll your eyes all you want. Nobody said they have nothing going for them. The Chargers are a good team-fact. Do we think they will beat the Pats? No. Could they beat the Pats? Sure.

But...having a team of pro bowlers means nothing. Beating Indy twice also means nothing. The first game you beat them, you were a healthy team. Indy was not. They were battered and bruised and Manning was throwing to third string receivers. Dwight Freeney, arguably one of the league's best pass rushers was out toward the end of the game. In addition, the weather was horrible and the Chargers came within a Vinatieri missed chip shot of losing. The Chargers did beat the Colts this past weekend. Which was a great accomplishment. Again, however your team was given many gifts: (Harrison fumble, two ints that should never have happened, etc.). Heck, the Chargers even overcame injuries and bad officiating. But to claim that beating the Colts twice is a huge accomplishement is flawed.

Also, you say that winning 12 of your last 14 games is huge. Sure it is. However, who did you lose to in there? The Patriots. And, who did you beat? Let's look, shall we?

Point: Who in that list above made the playoffs? Tennessee did. And you struggled against them in both games. Indy did...but I already discussed why the first win was not a huge accomplishment. The teams you lost to ran all over you. In fact, Adrian Petersen rewrote the record book on your defense for rushing yards.

Look, nobody is dissing the Chargers...but to say that they will beat the Patriots because they have 8 pro-bowlers, have won 12 games against mostly bad teams and beat Indy twice is simply foolish.

I think even the die-hard, old-school fans would have t agree the advantages are washed by the disadvantages. In the pre-salary cap era, it was easy for a team to be stacked with all-stars...not so today. In addition, the difference in quality from the best team to the worst was greater in the Pre SC era which made it easier to become dominant.

It's typical of them to want respect without earning it. It doesn't occur to them that the media is putting that tag on the Pats, the team isn't. I think you're wrong. If we knocked off the Pats, that by no means would mean we would declare the greatest or any nonsense like that. Dont be so defensive, its a legitimate question. This has nothing to do with how San Diego would be viewed/rated. It's your team that is on the measuring stick, not ours.
