Nahh... He's still a major d-bag for writing that "Good vs. Evil" crap.

Agreed. When you enter the world of make-believe to get your point across (as he did in that dispicible 'Good vs. Evil' column) you've officially lost any credability you once had.

This actually makes him worse. He's not only back-peddling and doing a pathetic about-face, but he's trying to satirize his hatred for the Pats (as if it's not real)

Never. i will never read anything he writes on football or any other subject.

Being a pompous arse is an unforgivable offense in my eyes.

You guys have better willpower than me. I used to like him before the Good vs. Evil crap, and have not read him again until now.

Absolutely not. The good vs. evil article was complete b.s. and now because of it I have to see the picture of BB with devil horns all around my office. Easterbrook is a tool bag.

No!!!!

He is the epitome of EVIL.

We, on the other hand, are the Apex of damned GOOD!?!?

He's still a freaking douche.

:enranged:

Nope. I used to see his articles as a funny distraction, but he went way overboard with all the Pats hate, so eff 'im.

and, really, what fan base wouldn't boo the jersey of the rival team? As much as I'd like to believe that the Gillette crowd would welcome a girl in a Colts jersey and clap politely, it's only realistic to think that she'd get booed.

I don't get it. Whenever he writes about Boston, he calls it a "big metropolis." I remember in the good vs. evil thing, part of it was that Indianapolis was a small city and Boston was a big one... which is completely disregarding the fact that Indianapolis is actually several times larger than Boston both in population and area. Boston is not a big metropolis... Easterbrook needs to get his facts straight.

Nope. I'll never read him again. I stopped after his week 2 column so I haven't even read the Good vs. Evil one.

Just as bad as his writing was his response to the ESPN ombuds(wo)man calling him out. He blew her critique off (in a smarmy manner, of course), saying that he knew more than the rest of us and that he'd be vindicated when more came out. We're still waiting.

Willpower isn't an issue for me. I haven't read anything from the Globe or Boston.com since an especially bad Shaughnessy piece. If he ever gets fired I'll go back, but not before then.

I think he's a total jerk. And his attitude toward the Patriots is only a small part of it.

Even if he wasn't an a-hole about the Patriots, he's just not qualified. Hundreds of thousands of people know more about football than he does and they have the benefit of never being fired for antisemitism.

If he was a responsible journalist, he would take some blame for the booing of the teenage patriots fan since he took a large role in creating the preception of the "evil" Patriots.

Wasn't there a Chargers jersey in that line-up?

I would hold Pats fans in contempt for booing a girl for wearing a Manning jersey.

I don't know - this guy comes across as a total ****. Calling the Giants the "Jersey/As", the Pats the "Flying Elvii" - just stupid, not funny. Couldn't get through half of it. They'll publish anyone these days I guess.

His blatant misuse and misunderstanding of statistics and their interpretation is the worst thing about his writing. He simply cannot understand how to thoughtfully interpret many of the number generated. His overwhelming arrogance and ridiculous logic concerning everything from football to politics makes him the most detestable writer on that garbage-laden site.
