Farve
Eli Manning
Rivers

Don't you feel like one or two of these guys will be a disaster next week?
I thank the heavens we have the most stable QB left.

I was thanking the heavens all afternoon when watching both games.

If any I'd pick Rivers.

Farve
Eli Manning
Rivers

West coast teams are toast in cold weather; just look at what happened to Hasselbeck.

Why isn't the spelling of this guy's name a bigger story in football. (It's actually Favre.)

Actually, though, he looks like he's firing on all cylinders right now. I don't figure him for a meltdown any more than Brady.

It's FaVre, not Farve.

Bambi is due for a meltdown.
I pick him.

Why? He just eliminated the 'only team' that stood in your way!

And? Indy in no way stood in the Pats way. I picked Rivers because he is the lesser of all left. Manning has played great so far this post season and Favre has been Favre. Rivers sucked against the Titans for most of the game. He played good against the Colts though. I had to pick someone so I picked Rivers. Don't take it personal when it isn't.

I find it hard to believe you watched the Chargers/Titans game. Rivers won that game against the Titans carrying the team on his back. He made the biggest plays for his team to win. LT produced nothing and Gates went out early in that game. Rivers got a lot of praise after that game, even on this board. Rivers has played two very good games in a row in the playoffs against top rated defenses and he had little to no production from LT or Gates in either game. Rivers is now 27-8 as a starter. Rivers is in no way below Eli Manning.

One of the postgames shows reported that Rivers could have gone back in late, but since Volek was on a roll he didn't push to get back in at QB.

To me that screams "Rivers is not franchise QB material mentally." Can you imagine Brady not fighting to stay in or get back in after an injury if he was at all able? Your QB needs to have confidence he's the best guy to win the game all the time. Rivers looked like someone who didn't want to be blamed if they lost. That lack of mental toughness is bound to show up when it matters most.

Actually, Billy Volek did.

Volek is laughable. I almost fell to the floor in laughter when I looked on the Chargers forum and everyone was proclaiming their love to Billy Volek after he had the TD drive.

We've seen enough times this season why Volek is the backup.

The guy does not lack mental toughness when he made big play after big play in the past two playoff games without help from his only two stars on offense.

I agree with you about Eli and Rivers, but it actually isn't all that warm in Seattle. It may not get as frigid as it does in your neck of the woods but we have 3 months of nice weather in the summer and the rest of the year it's mid thirties and raining, the kind of weather that soaks you right to your core. By the way, No, I'm not a Seahawks fan, can't stand them. GO PATS
