Thanks workhorse. You are, as always, gracious even in defeat... every fan knows how it is to have a team lose in the playoffs, so it's not hard to sympathize.

It would be a lot harder if last year hadn't happened, but it still sucks.

Edit: weird post order thing happening

There should be nothing stopping you guys now. The Colts are done and banged up Chargers team in coming into Foxboro. There is no way I see the Giants or the Packers doing enough once the Super Bowl rolls around. So the way I see it, destiny is New England's for the taking.

I would say good luck, but you guys don't really need it, and to be honest, I really wouldn't mean it. I really don't want anybody to win it all right now.

Have fun and enjoy the Super Bowl, I know you will. :p

Thanks, but there wasn't much in our way before today's game.

I would have enjoyed a Pats-Colts game, and I surprisingly found myself rooting FOR the Colts. Guess I wanted AFCCG revenge or something, but just my luck that Manning returned to his old choke self.

Have a good draft and better luck (to a point) next year.

No offense but we didn't think there was anything stopping the Pats even before the Colts lost.

Thanks, although I'm sure they won't look beyond San Diego this week.

To be honest, you can't really say Manning choked. He went 33 of 48 for over 400 with 3 TDs and the 2 picks both hit the receivers in the hands. Look no further than the lack of a running game and the defense not being able to get off the field for the more reasons the Colts lost.

Won't miss the RCA Dome.....and really won't miss Dungy after he retires on Monday !

That's EXACTLY how I felt at this time last year. You just KNEW Grossman and the Bears had zero chance, despite Devin Hester spotting the Chicagoans 7 in the downpour.

Take care, Workhorse. Talk to you next year...

I was doing the same thing: rooting for the Colts and not throwing up about doing it!! Wanted that revenge game bad!!! But I got to agree with Workhorse (oh ****! I might puke now agreeing with a Colts fan!) that Manning didn't choke but receivers were blowing it for him (i.e. that interception before halftime should of been caught by the Colts receiver and was tipped))....

Face it Workhorse, that dome thing was a big advantage fir the Colts that will be no more once the new stadium is in place! Football DOES NOT belong in domes but in cold, driving snow!!!!

One thing to look forward to. Perhaps that Dome has a bit of a curse onit. After all, it was built BEFORE the city had the team. Maybe now, LOS will be THE true home of the Indy Colts. And maybe, just maybe, this season ending loss will have the same effect the '05 loss did. Every OTHER year is fine by me;)

Your right..the RCA Dome was the lure for Irsay to take his Baltimore Colts...in the middle of the night....one of the darkest days in NFL history...wish the NFL had just given Indy a new franchise and not have to steal one

Anyone taking the Chargers for granted is a fool.

I will say this.......I work downtown Indy and I was able to go on the field yesterday at the Dome (lunch break) and it was creepy in there. When that place is empty it has a really eerie feel to it. I've been there several times for different sporting events, but never on the field and never when no one else is there (other than a few of my co-workers and the security guy that let us in). On the flip side of that, I drive past Lucas Oil Stadium everyday and the d*mn thing just keeps getting bigger and bigger. It's going to be extremely nice.

Well - he had a chance to win and he didn't or couldn't... so some will say he choked... but on this one I'd go along with you... he's not alone on the field and there's a lot of other guys who could have done more to get open, or give him more time on that final drive.

I was looking forward to a replay of last years AFCCG but I guess it wasn't meant to be... I do get a chuckle out of the other Colts trolls here who said after we won the regular season game, and even through last week "see you in the AFCCG"

That's a helluva presumptuous thing to say, even for a Colts fan - and I don't think you'll find even one Patriots fan who was willing to publicly assume we'd get this far as every game is a battle.

That's the same as guaranteeing a win and I'd be surprised if even one Patriots fan would do that.

It is also too bad that your city did not see it coming, and do something to stop it. Granted, since that time, things have changed in the NFL. Franchise values have sky rocketed. Cleveland learned from your mistakes. I heed the Biblical advice not to covet thy neighbors wife, but certainly, coveting their franchise is fair game.

I'm not going to take the time to look them up, but there have been plenty of Pats fans saying as much.

You know even though I have seen a ton of different games and events, many that will have lasting memories. I have no real emotional attachment to the dome. It has always been just a building, there isn't a whole lot of extra character there. It kind of has the same feel as all those cookie cutter baseball stadiums from the 70's (like Pittsburgh, Cincy, Philly, and St. Louis). I am really looking forward to the new stadium opening. It's going to be sweet. And you are right, that thing is huge.
