Which game had worse refereeing?

i'm hoping the ref for the NE game is carey or hoculi

those guys are great

They NFL has a policy of letting refs who did the wild card games officiate the Super Bowl ( usually if the team they officiated is NOT in the Super Bowl) but the guys who do the conference and championship games are not eligible.
So with 17 referees and 8 having officiated either the wild card or this past weekend, we're left with 9 possibles for the remaining 2 games this coming Sunday...

As The refs in the recent past haven't done the Super bowl if either of the teams that they officiated on wild card weekend made it (not that a team playing on WC weekend is likely to make it..)

Jerome Boger JAX@NE
Mike Carey SEA@GB
Pete Morelli NYG@Dallas
Gerald Austin SD@Indy

With Hoculi (TN@SD), Scott Green (JAX@PIT), Walt Anderson (NYG@TB), and Walt Coleman (WASH@SEA) already having done games this post season and the NFL policy of only having the refs do one game per post-season (until the Super Bowl-see below), the refs who could do the conference championships are......

Bill Carollo (did last year's AFCCG NE@ Indy)
Bill Leavy
Gene Steratore
Jeff Triplette (please no...)
John Parry ( after the Indy-NE debacle would they let him near anything?)
Larry Nemmers
Ron Winter
Terry McAuley ( did last year's NFCCG)
Tony Corrente (not likely since he did last year's Super Bowl)

My bet is on Nemmers, Winter or Steratore for the AFCCG ............

Refs who officiated the Super Bowl after doing a wild card game.

year Ref wild card teams SB teams
2001-02 Kukar SF-GB NE-StL
2002-03 Carollo Clev-Pitt Oak-TB
2005-06 Leavy NYG-Car Pitt-Sea

A Pats board supporting the Chargers against bad officiating.....sends a chill up my spine.

Do you truly think the refereeing has been that bad!! I don't watch many colts game, but other than today, what was the most B.S. call the colts had go their way in your minds....

If not for the excellence of the Patriots, this incident probably would have ended my following the NFL. If this wasn't the smoking gun, watch the Pittsburg/Colts Playoff game of 05.

Very bad officiating. But it was both ways a lot. Like calling Wayne out at the two yard line, forcing the challenge. There was a ref ten feet away. If live play is too fast for these refs then we need robots or something.

Colts oline held a lot on pass plays with no calls. Both secondaries held all game. The end of the Giants-Cowboys game was real bad too. I saw a lot of bad calls and then make-up calls (sometimes back-to-back) today.

the Pats vs colts was worse but they were both horrific
No way. I find all the conspiracy-referee stuff a bunch of b.s. In almost fifty years of watching football I have seen only two games in which I honestly thought the refs definately influenced a game on purpsoe. Both were playoff games. The '76 Pats-Raiders, and today's game.

I stopped watching at one point. I really despise the Chargers, but they won today against the Colts and the refs.

What about Steelers - Seahawks Superbowl? IMO the worst ever.
