Hey all.
Charger fan from buffalo here, as my username would suggest. You guys had to love that war of attrition today on both sides.

I hope that Rivers, Tomlinson, and Gates are up to full speed, because I think it has the capability to be a good game. If SD gets beat, I'd rather it be giving their best effort with their best players.

Everyone's going to say we have no chance all week, but I've heard that for a week now, and look what happened. Definitely the underdogs, but if the Chargers can win without their quarterback, running back, and with a severely hobbled all pro tight end, not to mention the refs all but wearing Colts jerseys trying to get the NFL their precious pats/colts matchup, I suppose anything can happen right?

By the way, thanks for winning me LOTS of money covering the spread (plus an extra 30 pts or so for good measure) against the Bills on Sunday Night Football. I was ripping on my bills fan friends pretty bad.

A Charger fan in Buffalo. Job transfer??? That sure would bum me out.

Please, no offense I have no affection for the Chargers. Whine, complain, calling everyone classless when you have the least class, yell at your own team members, I can dance, but you can't, on and on. I just cannot get warm and fuzzy with your team. Sorry.

if Manning can pick apart your Defense with Clark and Wayne alone..what do you think Brady can do? the 2 picks by Peyton were a result of dropped passes by his receivers.

I was a bills season ticket holder until John Butler went to San Diego, and proceeded to take Doug Flutie, AJ Smith, and several of their defensive players and coaches with them. I wanted no part of the Rob Johnson era, it was obvious that the franchise was ass backwards, so I traded my season tickets in for a trip to San Diego and tickets to the game every time they play.

As for Manning picking apart the defense, they play a bend but don't break pass defense. They took away the run game and the deep ball(other than 1 blown coverage on gonzalez), and made the colts move up and down the field methodically with short passes. While this piles up yardage, eventually they come up with the turnover, or hold them to the field goal, or they don't convert a 3rd down. I expect more of the same next week. Assuming Brady doesn't hit every single pass again, it could work. Particularly if he tries to test Cromartie.

Just keep in mind that if the A-squad shows up, this is far from the team you faced in week 2. Either way, this week is the real super bowl. The NFC might as well be classified triple A.

I was 15 at the time. my liking of them was based on living here and getting jerseys and stuff for christmas, and my family taking me to the games. as soon as i started to follow football hardcore i realized they werent for me.
but i'm not on trial here and that's that.
cry me a river about your city's one sports team that isn't leading the league

so basically your a fair weather fan. a real fan sticks with his team no matter were they live and no matter how bad there team is .

not if a new administration that's supposed to be running the team comes in, and you disagree with every move they make. You show that disagreement by voting with your money, or not to give it to them.

and "fair weather fans" don't go to teams that finish 1-15, 8-8, and 4-12 over a 3 year period. they sign up here and pretend to be lifelong pats fans.

so if your team makes some decisions you don't like you switch teams? .I'm a bruins fan and they have made more bad decisions then any team in sports like trading joe thorton. they have the worst owner in sports and the team sucks .but I'm still a bruins fan and always will be .your pathetic

Oh come now, the Bruins aren't doing so bad. Surely having the biggest player in the NHL must count for something :) When Savard, Chara, and Thomas are on top of their game Boston is a formidable threat.

But to give this post some semblance of on-topicness...go Chargers! Let's see if we can pull this thing off.

I don't know how picking the Chargers over the Bills is being fairweather, especially considering the era the Chargers was in at the time. Nobody could have predicted the Chargers being where we are now only 10 years after "he who shall not be named" was drafted.
