Where was the crowd noise guys?

I've been to every home game but one (in 2000) since 1994. The crowd tonight was very loud. Period. Since you asked for it Bozo, consider the following:

Gillette's design has five very distinct disadvantages:

I like how you call me bozo and then go on to outline factors that have not changed since 2003/2004 when the crowd was actually playing a part in games. Take a big deep breather and try to comprehend what I have been saying in response to you:

In 2004 the crowd provided an actual homefield advantage. Gillette has not changed since then-thus the crowd obviously has.

Stop taking it personally I'm sure you are doing your part but our team flat out deserves better. Can you imagine what sort of crowd support they'd get if this was the KC or GB fanbase? They sure as hell wouldn't be getting booed during a 52-7 game like the dip****s at Gillette did, for example.

must really suk to be a "fan" of a 17-0 team and find the need to go beserk on the fan base, a fan base with a 50K waiting list, because your lofty expectations of what a fan should be are not met

Putting quotation marks around 'fan' to imply I'm not a fan is pretty immature. It's entirely possible that I'm a fan of this team and feel that the fanbase is letting the team down. Because they are.

The 50k waiting list means absolutely nothing to me, it's readily apparent to anyone with half a brain that the Patriots and the NFL in general have become a trendy activity for part-time fans to attend. Their presence in the stadium dilutes the effort put forth by real fans and personally I find it embarrassing.

The crowd sucks, pure and simple.

You call me "senile" and I'm not supposed to take it personally? OK, fella. Anyone who has attended as many games as I have knows it's not the crowd, it's the building. I've been to many other NFL stadiums and know the difference. Pats fans are good, passionate fans. Tonight's crowd was very loud -- as loud as during any of the 2003-2004 playoff crowds you're referring to (and I've been to every playoff game in Gillette). And next week's crowd will be even louder during the quarterhick's chicken dancing.

Relax! Enjoy 17-0 for a few hours and be annoyed at the inferior fans tomorrow.

You're trying to reason with someone who just has to gripe about something/anything to make himself feel good, Tunes...put him next to me at a game and I guarantee he'll be deaf for a week

You call me "senile" and I'm not supposed to take it personally?

4800 posts on an internet discussion board and you don't have thick enough skin to weather someone questioning your senility? Good gravy.

OK, fella. Anyone who has attended as many games as I have knows it's not the crowd, it's the building.

Ok again why do you keep harping on artchitecture when that has not changed since back in 2004 when the crowd was noticeably more involved. This is like the third time I've pointed this out to you but you continue to say the same thing over and over.

I'm not making this up just so I can argue with you over the internet, other fans and media pundents and hell, even a member of the opposing team have noted how lethargic this hometown crowd is.

Why do you keep saying this like somehow I'm personally doubting you? I'm sure I would be deaf if I was sitting next to you or most anyone who posts a lot. YOU are not the problem, you are likely a hardcore dedicated fan.

The dearth of fans like you are the problem.

I'll be there next week down by the endzone in section one so if you're around please, come deafen me.

Way to go Brady and Pats!

For those who were there, when watching on TV it seemed the crowd was not making that much noise, even on fourth down plays it was only moderate. What was it like in the Razor?

being at the game, it seemed very loud to me at times. the 1st quarter especially. there were quiet times but the crowd was standing for the majority of the game(or at least i was) and was in it for the whole thing.

You know with the team so talented like it is this year you could put the Patriots home field inside a downtown Boston library and it would not make a difference this year,The Pats would still be 17-0.

The crowd noise is cool but this year the crowd support is more irrelevant than ever,This team could win in an empty stadium.

But IMO from my 52" LCD sound, the crowd was very good last night....

Shut up. We were loud and I have a splitting headache. You guys sitting at home p1ss me off with this lack-of-crowd-noise BS. How the hell do you think you can judge crowd noise watching at home on TV? You have NO CLUE.

Of all the nights to ***** about the crowd noise, this isn't the one. Seriously, you guys who are complaining about crowd noise need to STFU, because it's getting old.

Thanks for your contribution to this thread.

Maybe the guys who complained about the noise at the stadium tonight should buy a TV set that isn't purchased with the announcement of " today's Blue Light Special is....."

The sound of my $3,000 TV says you guys who attended the game were great tonight.....and Thank you :rocker:

I was a season ticket holder for 20 years, Sec. 206...until they built the Razor and offered me nosebleeds in 310...the old stadium was FAR louder because of the architecture...the Razor has a HUGE black hole in the red seats because of the club...that and the design are the predominant contributor to lower noise levels...I'm always in the south EZ with other refugees unless I can scarf a 100's tick...I had to make a choice, either this game or wait for the win and go to the next one..unfortunately I'm not a millionaire like it seems you have to be to attend games the last few years...Lower EZ's are going for $700 a pop to start...standing room as high as 350 on Stub Hub..pretty price to pay to lose my voice, which is EXACTLY what I intend to do...just hope it's Peytie and his pout I'm screaming at

Geez I'm tired of this. I'm hoarse, the crowd was very loud. People were standing the whole game. For the billionth time: GILLETTE STADIUM IS NOT BUILT TO HOLD CROWD NOISE LIKE OTHER STADIUMS. It still was loud in there when Jacksonville had the ball.

I think you're right. Any time you have a stadium with an opening at one end it's not going to be as noisy as a dome or a completely bowled stadium.

Can we have that "sound wave" discussion again?...please;)

No. This thread needs to die an immediate death. I want to enjoy the win for at least a day before visions of the quarterhick begin making me nauseous.

LMAO at "quarterhick"....dyam

That's why I asked for the perspective from the stands, as I know it doesn't always come through on the networks. @ss clown. Take your Ritalin.

Thanks for the info from those who were there: it sounds like you had a different perspective (with a few exceptions), and held the decibel level high. Too bad Kraft had the stadium built to dissipate sound to the heavens rather than focus it on the field.
