Way to go Brady and Pats!

For those who were there, when watching on TV it seemed the crowd was not making that much noise, even on fourth down plays it was only moderate. What was it like in the Razor?

I thought the crowd was solid tonight personally.

Didn't seem very deafening on TV.

Just asked a friend of mine who went to the game, and he said it was very loud. You can't go by broadcast TV.

I felt it was too quiet in 315.

The crowd was definitely involved tonight. It will be a circus next week.

It's hard to judge because CBS has much worse crowd mic'ing than Fox does. Still it seemed about as loud as I'd hope for a regular season game not a hyped up divisional playoff game.

Here's hoping the crowd really shows up next week, though. I'll be there. :D

Fourth down plays we should have trouble hearing the announcers on TV. I was a bit embarassed. Everyone keeps saying 'next week', even last week they said that.

Though it is encouraging that some people who were there said that it was pretty loud.

I told my wife that it was the loudest crowd I have heard in a VERY long time,Going back to Schaeffer stadium days when watching a Pats home game - a solid effort by the fans IMO.

You guys who attended did a great job and it was loud enough in my book

I want to have to put down the volume on my TV even more next week so I don't disturb the neighbors ;)

I usually notice when the crowd is quiet, but I didn't even think about it tonight, so I think it was fine.

Geez I'm tired of this. I'm hoarse, the crowd was very loud. People were standing the whole game. For the billionth time: GILLETTE STADIUM IS NOT BUILT TO HOLD CROWD NOISE LIKE OTHER STADIUMS. It still was loud in there when Jacksonville had the ball.

I am surprised to read anyone felt it was quiet.

We did not sit all night and I thought it was VERY loud and I have been to them all.

Best part of the whole deal is we get to do it all over again next week!!!

Oh Yesssssssssssss

So when did they change the architecture of Gillette stadium? Was it 2005 or 2006? There is no doubt that the crowd used to be much more vocal and into the game during the 2001-2004 timeframe.

I'm guessing you're just senile though. I was at the Philly game this season and I screamed till I was dizzy but the rest of the pinkhats in my section were more worried about keeping their hands warm and mugging for the stadium camera than the damn game.

The Gillette crowd is apathetic as hell.

Take a running jump, you cretin. You don't have a freaking clue.

there's plenty of fan noise field level at the Razor, especially in the end zones...I went to six home game this season and my voice was gone for days after each one...some of these "fans" just HAVE to b!tch and moan after every game or they don't feel right.

You make an excellent point.

Still waiting to hear how GILLETTE ISN'T BUILT TO HOLD STADIUM CROWD NOISE translates into the noticeable decline in crowd noise and enthusiasm over the last three seasons which have all taken place in the same stadium.

Even the media and players have noted how lethargic the crowd has become. It sucks and we have a fantastic team that deserves better.

Get a clue. You and fans who post on this board are very likely to be exactly the sort that we need more of at the stadium.

Telling me that your voice is gone doesn't account for the 30k drunks and giggling girlfriends who sure as hell aren't doing their part.

Sure, the fan base is spoiled and there are times when they get comfortable and don't do much.

But not tonight. Like I said, I have definitely noticed and agreed with people who think there have been some pretty quiet games this season, so I'm not disagreeing with the decline in noise part, but I honestly did not notice it tonight.

I've been to every home game but one (in 2000) since 1994. The crowd tonight was very loud. Period. Since you asked for it Bozo, consider the following:

Gillette's design has five very distinct disadvantages:

(1). The upper deck is vaulted high above the field, spread out and separated from the rest of the stadium by double-tired luxury boxes. It also does not cover the end zones.

(2). The stadium floor is laid out for international-regulation soccer, NOT football, creating extra space between the sidelines and end zones, and the stands.

(3). Corporate club seating was very poorly conceived being concentrated on the mid-level sidelines. This represents thousands of prime seats that rarely are filled with rabid fans, especially in bad weather.

(4). The north end zone is open-ended to accommodate the "picturesque" lighthouse/bridge design.

(5). The open concourse view around the stadium's perimeter and the four "skylight" sections separating club seats from the mezzanine sections allow further evaporation of sound.

Bottom line: Gillette is a multi-purpose stadium with MAJOR design flaws the Krafts did not consider in terms of optimizing the football experience. They got what they wanted -- a pretty building that caters to high rollers.

WTF are YOU babbling about?

I WENT TO SIX HOME GAMES THIS SEASON

Plus the Jets game in the Meadowlands...excuse freaking me I couldn't AFFORD the price of tonight's game...you went to one game and sat with a bunch of pink hats...HTF are YOU doing?
