Hey I heard of this new invention, its called a television. I've seen a few of them in stores and apparently you can watch football games on them.

Check it out.

I live in the UK where games are only live on satellite TV and we are not allowed it at our dorms at uni cause they won't fix satellite dishes to the building. and at 1am bar are beginning to close

Ok, sorry I couldn't resist :D That that makes sense. Do they have places over there like Kinkos that are open 24 hours and rent computers by the hour?

Where do you live in the UK? I thought bars and clubs were open all night or is that just London?

the clubs here in newcastle are open till about 5 but there is only one or 2 places that put the game on like the sports cafe but that closes at 1.30. No internet cafes have just about all died since we have almost 100% coverage of free wireless. Might go pick up a cheap computer tomorrow, i have some xmas money to spend then hook it up to my thing called a tv that i found in a shop for £800 in the sales last week. See what i can get for my money then figure out how to use.

if you live in London, there's a bar called "sports cafe" that showed 100% of the NFL games, even in the early a.m.. If not, BBC plays "the game of the week", which during the regular season was every NBC Sunday night game live as well as MNF, but during the playoffs I'd be surprised if they didn't show all of them, or at least the Saturday and Sunday late games. You can search for it on Teletext.

*edit, you posted before I had finished this, so I just read you live in Newcastle not London, so ignore the first part.

The bbc never shows American football and never has. channel five airs games during the season and ITV during the post season while skysports airs the rest of the games. ITV puts the games on its extra channels and i only have the 5 basic channels plus the pats games is on sky anyway.
I don't live in london it's a 8 hour drive and our sports cafe isn't open as late. apart from the superbowl when they have a party on.

Ok, sorry, my place in London has those extra channels but not Sky, so I assumed it was BBC not ITV. Just out of curiosity, what game are they showing this week? Giants/Cowboys? At least you'll be able to see the Superbowl on BBC:

What are you using to post on this site at 3:15 a.m., if you don't have a working computer BTW?

Not sure what ITV will have on but the superbowl on the bbc will be great hopefully they will get coverage of NBC not the nfl's world network I won't have a choice what channel i see the SB on i will be at a party my team has one every year.

I am using my old mac before they had support for windows and the software for watching games is only available to windows my laptop had both on so i could do what i needed on the mac side and just simple stuff on the windows side of it.

Oh man, that sucks, I'm sorry. Take the train to London if you have to, or borrow a friends Computer?

I could get a train to london there direct from here but i am a student therefore have little cash other than my xmas money left. i'll find a way i am sure someone i know will be watching it and i'll just crash at theirs or summit. you don't have a 80 man team roster and have no one watching the game.

You mission tonight is clear. Go out and find a hot young chick with a Dad who has a satellite.

Kill 2 birds with 1 stone. :D

British rail has good student discounts, if you show them your card. As a last resort, of course. Where you going to Uni? I only ask because many relatives of mine went to Newcast U. Good luck, I hope you find a comfortable place to watch it!

I just left cumbria this week but haven't sorted moving back home or to my fathers yet I am hoping to go to newcastle uni in september also hope to play some college ball there not quite the same here as it is there tho. British rail does have great discounts i know i use them a lot. Are you from the UK Wildo?

Ok, sorry I couldn't resist That that makes sense.

You are sorry now , why do you always act like an arrogant jerk every time ? How old are you son ?

Yeah, I was born here, but my parents are both English, and I have dual citizenship but live in the U.S. (where I was born and raised). They just moved back there so I've been over there quite a bit lately. Good luck with Newcastle Uni. I'm a Liverpool fan, because that's where my family is from originally (and Leicester on my Mom's side), but Newcastle's great too:D

Hey dipshyt why don't you get a life and stop following me around like a stray dog. Its called a joke, try looking up sense of humor on wikipedia.

the comment was made to me no offense and i took it for what it was a joke not a arrogant comment.

I looked at liverpool for a place for uni but hated it place smells funny :p and they talk weird. I have family in Loughbourgh near Leicester. newcastle is indeed great. I like the liverpool football(soccer) team just not as much as i like newcastles.
