The one from the '70's has always been my favorite. I didn't hear the particular part of the theme that I'm thinking of on the u-tube version you provided. What I'm thinking of is as they were introducing the game the Brass would be playing the main theme,while the Strings would start to soar in the background. They'ed start off on a low pitch then go up the scale and get louder, it all would end in a crescendo.

Exactly. Remember those highlight shows on Sunday morning (I think it was)? You'd watch all that slo-mo action with the music and then run outside to meet your buds for some old fashioned tackle football! Boo-yah!

Yesssss!!!!! That's my favorite part also. You can barely make it out in the remix, but in the original, it's chilling!

The strings, as they shimmy from low to high always reminds me of a thermometer rising and rising - - kind of like a pass rush closing in on a quaterback. It's great!
