Your posters are funny. Me being a Jags fan, I'm all to familiar with posters demanding the respect card. I kind of understand it from the Jags fans but not from the Pats fans. Your favorite team is the best of this decade but I constantly see posters saying that the team is not getting respected.

Nobody but Pats fans want them to win. Everybody want to have the King removed from his throne. So of course they are going to try, and I mean try, to find ways to make the Pats sound beatable. They should have no time beating the Jags. Indy is the only true threat the Pats have. NFC has no shot to any of the teams left in the playoffs.

Here is to a good game Sat. night.

So do I. Last time I checked the Colts are the reigning Super Bowl Champs. The Pats haven't won anything yet. Hell, the Jags have won more games this post-season than the Pats have.

I just mean the way you tell the story, y'know... you're a funny guy...

I don't think too many pats fans feel they don't get respected. Many of them are struggling with the new reality, that of being the most hated team in the league. Hey it comes with the territory. Three superbowls in 4 years. Constantly finding former greats who only want to be great again and know NE is their best chance so they are willing to play here for less, and now a perfect regular season...I mean it's clear to me why they are disliked, even hated and I love it. I embrace the hate, it only means our team is the best and until someone out does their feats, will remain the best...and guess what, this Saturday night isn't going to change a thing. Your team has virtually no chance, but thanks for the kind words.

I don't understand why you need to have respect, your favorite has scoreboard. Nobody can take that away.

I'm an ex-Cowboy fan (before Jax) and everyone always wanted them to lose because they won. I didn't care. I loved the hate. Just embrace it. If they hate, they must be good.

Show some respect!

On a serious note, there are a few posts like those you're describing, but mostly we're looking at what kind of bulletin board material our team will be pinning up this week.

1. Official Jags website with asterisk. Check
2. Spicer stands by comments about our previous Super Bowl wins. Check.
3. Brady should have been speared. Check.
4. Pundits saying the Patriots aren't as tough as the Jags. Check.

All signs of disrespect, true, but also things the Patriots will use to get up for the game.

I just mean the way you tell the story, y'know... you're a funny guy...

One of the all-time best tension building, uncomfortable exchange of dialogue in movie history!

relax friend...that was just a quote from the movie Goodfellas:rolleyes:

True. My ex girlfriend hates me and I'll be honest, I was a beast in bed.

Although your on a bit of a downer about your team you do know you have a good team right? Your running game is a major threat in games and I have alot of time for little Jones-Drew. Then you have a pretty mobile QB and our D wont have an easy game. Although if your chasing the game Garrards arm will be tested more than the legs on your team.

We'll still beat you though :D Well, when I say beat I mean..

Do the Patriots want to get up for every game because they love the game and want to win? Do they look and search for little signs of disrespect all the time for motivation cause they need it?

Grow up. These players are all professionals. No silly comments should make you try even harder. What are the Pats in 7th grade wahhhhh he said something bad about me.

If I know you & I are gonna fight tomorrow, I'd appreciate all the BB material possible to get me to hate your guts and fill me with anger & help me focus that anger.

Football is a fight brother...you should know that. Haven't you ever played the game?

I totally agree.

You shouldn't agree.........EVERY TEAM HAS A CHANCE. Who in their right mind thought the Patriots had a chance against the Rams in the Super Bowl? I for one didn't believe it until the confetti fell.

I mean the chances are slim for the Jaguars but stranger things have happened. Did any of you see the Patriots against the Ravens?

I really don't give a damn if they look like silly crybabies,. It doesn't matter to me.

All I know is that they use bulletin board material to pump them up, and they win.

Only a loser would complain about winning.

But hey, that explains your post.

i thought liotta was in trouble there. as far as the jags, i have tons of respect for most of that team , excluding spicer. one of my top 10 plays of the year was when mjd put steroidman on his butt. shut that freak up.

I think you'll find alot of teams in every sport have things pinned up by coaches. Your point is right, but at the same time articles pinned up on locker room walls isn't a new thing.

What Spicer said and when he said it was what everyone in the league was saying.

Spicer just didn't back down when they ask him 4 months later if 4 months earlier he meant it. I still don't understand what the big deal is. He said it back then and also said this week that all that, that happened earlier in the year doesn't mean squat, that the Pats won all the games. What did you guys want him to say. No I never said that or I was wrong or what?

He's is not saying that he is saying that now he is saying that he meant what he said when he said it. He was more going after goodell, who at the time was suspending player after player and he wanted to see if he would do to coaches what they were doing to players.

"We're just blessed to have another opportunity, to be on the same field as the New England Patriots," running back Maurice Jones-Drew said in a slow, drawn-out, tongue-in-cheek fashion. "Tom Brady is my idol. He's from the Bay Area, dates supermodels. He's everything a kid wants to be."

Defensive end Paul Spicer even jokingly offered to let the Patriots borrow his digital camera if they wanted to take snapshots of Jacksonville's defensive signals.

"We are confident," Spicer said. "It's us against them. They're 16-0, they're wonderful, they're great. But the bottom line is they have to beat us Saturday. Until that happens, we're 1-0 and they're 0-0."

I've never given much credibility to the whole "bulletin board" motivation idea...but these guys might just change my mind. I know they are trying to be funny, but why say anything at all?

You are very incorrect. It's what opposing fans were saying. The select few in the NFL who did say something have paid this season. 99% of players and coaches were smart enough to shut their mouths. Spicer was not.
