I'm a big Hobbs fan. One of few it seems.

Count me in too! He's just taking a stab at the perpetual negativity of the Boston media and some of its fans. He's done a very good job this year IMO.

The Hobbit is my man!

I'm not bashing the guy...I'm just saying that comparing yourself to Jesus is a little much.

I am a Hobbs fan, and as long as he plays well without getting an extreme ego, it's fine with me

He's referencing Jesus, not comparing. If I tell one of my employees "your fired", I'm not channeling The Donald!

I didn't read it that way. To me it was a poke at hypercritical people. He's saying that even the only perfect person ever to walk the Earth (depending on one's beliefs) couldn't catch a break.

Wow learn to read. Nice going trying to blow something else way out of proportion. He was in no way comparing himself to Jesus.

Here is my interpretation:

Hobbs: "Jesus was really awsome and still got persecuted. I am not even close to Jesus, so I expect that I will have haters."

Edit: Hobbs pretty much just sounds like a character guy. I think a lot of the times he has "blown a coverage" (as Felger likes to say) its really more like Hobbs was supposed to have safety help and didn't get it, but almost stopped the play anyways. That results in him looking bad on TV.

"It’s almost like rappers. They’re looking for their beef, their controversies. The more I emphasize him, the better he gets." He also brought up rappers; he must think he's a rapper. What a douche! :bricks:

How is comparing yourself to Jesus bad? Hobbs pretty much compares himself to Jesus, saying Jesus was a way better person than him. Then, Hobbs goes on to say, if Jesus has haters and is a way better person, its only logical that Hobbs will have haters.

I mean... get ready for this?

Mother Theresa was a saint compared to me.

Comparison? Yes. Accurate? Yes.

Am I missing something? Where in that artical does he compare himself to Jesus????

How is comparing yourself to Jesus bad?

It would be like if baked a cake or painted a picture and compared myself to god because I created something. Hobbs is comparing himself to Jesus because he has "haters" just like Jesus did.

Bad? Not necessarily. Flawed logic? Most certainly.

That's not what he's saying at all. He's saying that Jesus got crucified for all the good he was trying to do, so who is he (Hobbs) to complain that he's getting thrown at?

Hobbs is the weak-link of the Pats secondary. The opposition DOES throw to his side to take advantage of the sure mis-match. Sure he gives good sound-bite, he's a good kr - but he's a mediocre DB at best. Let's be honest here.

'Jesus' is Tom Brady's nickname. He's comparing himself to Tom Brady.
