Hey Moga--how's the offseason treating ya? Great season by the Jets. Must have been fun to watch. Anyway, I hear Pete Kendall could be available in a trade. Do you think Mangenius would offer #6 overall for him?

Do I know you? Please address me as Dr Moga.....not just Moga...

I paid my Waste Management (WM) bill for December......stop calling my house already.

go attempt to be funny on the Jet's board, where you belong

provided they didn't shut it down to foot the bill for the stipper-whore fans flashing their titties at the Meadowlands

You of course do know that the video in question was never seen by any of the coaches, don't you?

That's what pisses people off and is why the Jags web page illustrates what idiots they are.

Everyone who takes even the briefest moment to review the facts understands that the video had no impact in the game - it was never in the possession of the Patriots.
That's exactly it... ty JSP for explaining it so concisely and so well.

"Cheating" implies that the rule they broke affected the outcome of the game.

it just means we broke a rule. the Broncos cheated when they violated the cap, Rodney cheated when he took HGH, the Pats cheated when we broke an NFL rule.

here is the dictionary.com definition of "cheat":

cheat /tʃit/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[cheet] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–verb (used with object)
1. to defraud; swindle: He cheated her out of her inheritance.
2. to deceive; influence by fraud: He cheated us into believing him a hero.
3. to elude; deprive of something expected: He cheated the law by suicide.
–verb (used without object)
4. to practice fraud or deceit: She cheats without regrets.
5. to violate rules or regulations
6. to take an examination or test in a dishonest way, as by improper access to answers.
7. Informal. to be sexually unfaithful (often fol. by on): Her husband knew she had been cheating all along. He cheated on his wife.
–noun
8. a person who acts dishonestly, deceives, or defrauds: He is a cheat and a liar.
9. a fraud; swindle; deception: The game was a cheat.
10. Law. the fraudulent obtaining of another's property by a pretense or trick.
11. an impostor: The man who passed as an earl was a cheat.

Hey Moga,

Do you think the Jets could get 4 #1 picks for Pennington? Mangenius's pick Clemens is teh awsome and has looked terrific. I dunno, maybe they could package Vilma and Pennington and pull off a Herschel Walker type deal! What do you think?

I'm not expecting Moga to respond because he's just realized he's demonstrated what an idiot he is... doesn't even know the facts of what transpired in a game against his own team.

So of course the asterisk denotes that somehow this season's record was affected when even a rare well educated Jets fan will admit that there is no way the videotape played a role in the outcome of that game.

I see the illustrious FrankBooger is back! :rocker:

get out of here you creepy nutter!

what are you an OBGYN for obese child actresses?

get lost.

It's already been posted in this thread, and several times before, but there a three things that people who continue to ***** about the Patriots conveniently ignore:

1. The tape was confiscated sometime during the first half.
2. New England didn't get to review the tape because of the above point.
3. It was 14-7 at halftime for the Pats, when they were videotaping. In the second half, with no camera, the Patriots outscored the Jets 24-7.

New England did not use a videotape to beat the Jets.

I don't care about these things anymore, the game will be decided between the lines. If the pats can use these as motivation, then great.

So, by YOUR definition: not buckling your chinstrap, false starts and delay of game are all cheating. They are all things that a team gets penalized for, so they are a violation of the rules, thus cheating. So every team in the NFL cheats.

So you say "cheating" is to violate a rule. That's nice - seeing as offsides, pass interference, delay of game etc. are all breaking rules I guess you're saying that all teams cheat.

I can deal with that.

Of course most trolls use the more common (as they are listed in order of use) #2 with the Patriots - suggesting that they in some way influenced the outcome of the game against the Jets.

You, I and everyone with half a brain knows that was not the case - no one disputes that.

There are some folks out there who prefer to prove their ignorance and idiocy by actually suggesting that a video tape that was never seen by anyone somehow affected the outcome of that game and therefore the season.

Moges,

How many tds do you think shifty Leon Washington score next year? He's unreal! How about Cotch and Coles.? With Mangenius coaching up a storm, and his pick Clemens under centre, 2008 is going to be an exciting year up in New Jersey, huh? MAN, it's an exciting time to be a Jets fan.

Yup - by your definition the Jets cheat every game. You just checkmated yourself.

Now care to explain to all of us how the Patriots videotape affected the outcome of the game against your Jets?

I didn't think so.

there is clearly a difference between an in-game penalty which sets back teams 10 yards and an organizational penalty which takes away teams 1st round picks and $500,000.

are both cheating? whatever, sure, I dont feel like debating it. but either way, one is 100x worse than the other. you should be able to see this
