NFL Divisional Playoffs Lines

@ Green Bay -8 Seattle (40.5)
@ New England -12 Jacksonville (48.5)
@ Indianapolis -8 San Diego (48)
@ Dallas -7.5 NY Giants (47.5)

Biggest of the weekend. Seems right to me.

Not touching that spread, just going to enjoy the game. If it was -6.5 or less I'd hammer it.

yeah, i agree i think we will at least win by 2 touchdowns.
DG wont be able to beat us passing.
and the jag defense wont be able to stop brady and co.

I think all these spreads are inflated.

Yep, because bookies took a killing on the Pats for the first 8 weeks of the year, so then started grossly inflating the spreads to recoup some of their losses. Don't fall into their trap and bet with your hearts guys, just enjoy the games.

I agree. Maybe the Indy game is about right.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to believe the Chargers will win, the Colts always do. I've accepted that now.

Unlike the Squealers and their boistrous fans, the Goobers of flyover country are legitimate and worthy rivals. Yeah, I hate Polian but respect the way he drafts and constructs a franchise. Manning's excellence only makes the Patriots achievements all that much more respectable.

The Colts are the reigning SB champs until someone dethrones them.

I give them 2 weeks.

my opinion on weight of spread...means nothing, absolutely nothing.

I think the Pats should cover pretty easily.
Garrard is a young QB making his first start in the playoffs.
Get ready to see some confusion, some sacks, maybe a pick or forced fumble, and a lotta frustration for Garrard.

He's been petty solid under pressure this year. Better TD/INT than Brady. It may be difficult to rattle him, especially since he's so mobile.

then you should be able to make a lot of money if you know better.

there is no better widely available pre-game predictor of games than the point spread

Actually the point spread is a gambling mechanism, not a formula to predict the chances of winning, so sorry to say it, but you're wrong on that count.

I salute your respectful & truthful post PWP! Pretty much sums up the way all Pats fans feel...whether they want to admit it or not.

Very refreshing to see.

if it wasn't an excellent formula for predicting winners and outcomes, then the bookies would be out of business. so, you're wrong

wow all of the spreads seem high. maybe not the giants-cowboys depending if TO plays.

12 seems way too high, this could be another blueprint game, you know where the other teams keeps it close but eventually loses at the end.

Go Jaguars! I think we have a good shot, but thats just me.

Well, if you are a Jags fan, you must, of course, believe in your team. However, reality check - if the Jags play exceptionally well and DG has a couple of runs, the game will be close... However, Brady will beat you in the end. Surely you know that by now...

I hope it is a good game though as I would like to see some real opposition and a good game. I was at the Giants game for the 16-0 finale and it was electric, especially in the 4th quarter...
