Now this is my blueprint to beat the Patriots. I have not yet seen a team follow the blueprint this year. There's only one key step in the blueprint. If a team follows this step, I guarantee the Patriots will lose. Whether they jam Moss, or blitz Brady, or whatever doesn't matter as long as this one step is done. Ready for it...1. Outscore the Patriots. Thats it. Thats the blueprint. Fortunately, it appears no team is capable of following the blueprint for an entire game; as it takes alot of discipline.

my blueprint is to keep Truck away from the keyboard.

heh heh...Mr. Funnyworth

He has a good point, though. If another team DOES score more points than the Pats, they'll probably emerge victorious.

It's ideas like this that, in hindsight, are so simple they go overlooked.

I agree, tell the national scribes and the talking heads they will all revel over this discovery..

There actually is a second way to do it -- ensure that the Patriots score fewer points than you.

which would result in outscoring the patriots - which is the original blueprint, a genius plan

Okay you guys are pretty much focusing on the simple outcome Truck provided, just because it's a little sparse on the details. I've got the tactical breakdown of how to do it:

1. You need two bookend end rushers of pro-bowl caliber. It's also helpful to have a couple of defensive tackles who will run right up the gut and can do so a couple times a game. Also, blitz a safety. That's five guys to pressure Brady every play.

2. the corner definitely has to jam Moss at the line. No doubt. That's 6 guys all wrapped up.

3. It's probably a good idea to jam Stallworth/Gaffney at the line too, whichever is in in a 3-receiver set. That's 7.

4. Double Moss, every play, unless you're just plain suicidal. That's 8 guys.

5. You need to stack 8 in the box whether you're trying to account for Maroney, Faulk or the short yardage guys in certain situations. Now that's not as bad as it sounds, if you count the five guys who are already committed to pressuring Brady ("every blitz is a run blitz"). That takes us to 11.

6. You need to commit somebody to containing Welker. We'll call that 12.

7. That should pretty much cover it, unless we get the tight ends involved in the offense.

8. Also, try to deprive all real estate on the sidelines and deep downfield, so you need to set up some kind of zone scheme designed to keep us to the middle of the field. Hopefully you can do it with maybe 2 more DBs committed to those objectives. That's 14 guys.

Okay, I cobbled this together from the various versions of "the blueprint" employed by the Ravens, Iggles, and the commentators. But it can be done, provided they get the refs from the Indy game.

Thank you for your support

Exactly how we won our 1st Super Bowl ... made sure St. Louis scored less than us.
