i am because of the following:
-we will focus on stopping the run.
-DG has little chances to beat us in the passing game.
-jags defense dosnt look to scary.
- if we take a lead jax will be forced to throw.

you thoughts?

ps: it would be even more fun taking on the titans, although that probaby wont happen

Yup only because I hate the Steelers and actually like the Jags (except when they play us).

Initially I was a little hesitant when they had the lead but then they let the Steelers (or should I say Hack-lisberger) back into the game and now I say bring them on (if Tenn. loses).

i agree if DG has to throw to keep pace with the pats the game could get ugly for the JAX. JAX better hope for a ball control game. but i like the pats chances alot....alot

I am stunned that they did not have a bye week for the Jaguars. Doesn't that affect their ability to beat the Patriots?

That's assuming that the Classiest team in the land beats the Houston Oilers.

How many times did DG pass the ball? Do you think TB throws that many bad passes? Are the Pats special teams that bad?

If the Pats somehow get the lead, which is iffy since the Jags are now the best team in the league right behind the Redskins, who somehow lost, how the heck is DG going to get the job done?

Please tell me!

I actually prefer we met the Steelers. Known guys, down a few players. Whereas, Jags are all fit with no injuries (I think), play a lot more physical.

And, our D shows that it can't tackle sometimes and has made avg QBs look great.

Though I still expect us to post a sound W, I am still wary. Hope it is a clean kill.

I was thinking I'd rather the Pats play the Steelers before the game, but as it wore on and the Steelers came back what Jacksonville is really became clear.

The Jaguars are a decent team with a decent quarterback, good RBs, no pass rush to speak of, average DBs and not a lot of poise. And I say that even though they came back and won the game. A truly good team wouldn't be in that situation to begin with, especially against a battered team like Pittsburgh.

Does anyone think a meat head like Del Rio can match wits with BB? Tomlin couldn't either, but Del Rio is even further away. And you just know one of their players is going to say something stupid this week.

At the end of the day, there's not a lot about Jax that should keep Pats fans up nights this week.

I was rooting for the Jaguars because I don't want them to miss the list. I'm also rooting for the Colts over the Chargers because I want revenge. Other than that I'm rooting for green bay because I want them on the list.

I hate both teams. And both are way overrated. That game today was an embarrassment for all involved.

Well it means a week of people saying 'The Jags can beat the Patriots' like it is some surprising revelation, but that's ok. On the flip side it means another chance for this team to cement their status amongst the great teams of all time since it'll be 7 of 11 playoff teams they'll have played.

I'm assuming that SD beats Tennessee, of course.

Speaking of the game tonight...

Rothlisberger is starting to remind me of Drew Bledsoe, the way he stands back there and holds the ball. At the end of the game, throwing away a down doesn't mean anything. The clock is the enemy. If there's nothing open, throw it in the damn bleacher seats, stop the clock, and line up to try it again.

Maybe it would be better if Tenn won...that way the Pats would have a cgance at 2 MORE teams...Jax, Tenn to add to the 6 PO teams.

I'm glad we're playing the Jags (assuming the Chargers don't gag once again and beat the Titans today) because it's a team we haven't played this year. I like seeing different teams. Pittsburgh is a bore!
The Jags offense will be a good challenge for our defense given their ability to run the ball. The Jags defense doesn't scare me one bit. You see those fat guys on their D-line?? Bady's going to spread them out, go no huddle and up tempo and that D will need oxygen by the 3rd quarter. You saw how they almost collapsed and gave up 29 against a wounded Steeler offense.
Just imagine what Brady and Co. will do to them. :D

I love John Henderson having hammy issues and Stroud out for year....The only way Jax has a chance is if there is heavy wind and rain, otherwise NE 37 Jax 17.

I am glad because I seriously doubt that Jaguars fans travel as well as Steelers fans. I rather be surrounded by fellow Patriot fans.

Yep. Hate those terrible towels.

I truthfully didn't care eight way. I thought the two teams were mirror images of each other anyway. With a good but not great QB's that likes to run the ball, a good front seven but so-so at best secondary. Expect to see a lot of four wides next week.

I was hoping for Pitt, because we have been there done that type of thing.. And like I said there is nothing to beating the Stillers in the Playoffs.. With that being said, Jax is nothing, a nice team, but not sold on Garrard, and all they have in the secondary is Mathis.. Brady will have a field day with the secondary..

yes; of course

Who are we kidding? We'd all love our boys to deal with Jacksonville. Theyre the one AFC team we havent dropped the hammer on yet. And everyone thinks theyre the team that can bring the Pats down. Why would we want to face anyone else. TN has no shot at all of beating SD. So, the Jax matchup is close to a lock at this point. And I say bring it on. Nothing like beating every good team out there to prove your worth.
