... if the Titans beat the Chargers, then the Pats face the Titans in the next round. That sets up the possibility of the Patriots paying Jacksonville in the AFCCG, if Jax can pull of the upset against Indy.

And if all that happens (not sure how likely it all is), then if the Patriots make it to the Super Bowl, they will have beaten all 5 of the other AFC playoff teams, either in the regular season, or in the playoffs. I think that would be pretty cool.

I'd pull for the Chargers. Indy owns Jacksonville.

I'd like the Titans so Brady can score in the final minute of a blowout and we can watch Bullock go wingnut. ...again

We should all root for Tennessee because maybe, just maybe, we could be a little weary of the best all around tailback in football of the last 5 years blow up for 220/2 TD and 10 receptions at any time.

He has a better chance of blowing up the post game press conference because Rob Bironas didn't show any class by smiling after he made a field goal.

I myself also - when looking at our potential opponents - look at the overall picture like this. I think the sweetest route to 19-0 would be Tennessee/Jacksonville then one of the 3 NFC teams we haven't played yet.

That would then mean we beat 9 out of a possible 11 different playoff teams during our 19-0 season, including AFC teams #2-7.

But when concerning myself with the Colts, I feel the Chargers have a much better shot than do the Jags at beating them. The Chargers are on a 2 game winning streak against the Colts, while the Jags are on a 2 game losing streak.

no offense to anyone in this thread.. but i've had enough of the "i wanna play th e best teams" or "i want indy, no excuses!".

I want the easiest damn route possible. so i want Tennessee, Jacksonvillle, and then the Buccs.

(even though Lord Favre would definitely choke)

I'm honest to God conflicted here. I didn't have a rooting interest in either of today's two games and I don't think I'll have one in the SD/TEN game either.

But how funny would it be if the Titans pulled off the upset, then those Titans get toasted by the Pats, and have the Colts lose to a familiar foe in the Jaguars? It would be karma for the Colts giving the Titans a free pass into the playoffs.

But in reality, I don't care. If the Colts lose prior to the AFCCG, I get to laugh at their expense. If they make it to the AFCCG, that's the chance for perfect revenge against them. Yes I'm jumping the gun as a fan of the Pats, but if you're not supremely confident in a 16-0 team going the distance then I don't know what to tell you.

Yeah that same HB showed so much class as he walked away from his starting QB because of a in game mistake but later acted buddy buddy after they pulled out the win.

What a piece of work he is...........

Oh...........no way the Titans even come close to beating the Chargers. The Jags already have plane tickets to fly to Providence.

i agree if tennesse wins aganist the chargers..
it would be a easy win for us, although i dont like the dirty play of tens players, and we would still most likley face indy in the next game, i dont think jax can beat indy at any cost.

That route would also fill my 3 not previously played team quota, I'd be fine with that.

Meh, if the Squeelers had better coaching the Jags would have been eliminated today. They're not too scary to me.

I really could care less who we face, they(Pats) still have to show up and play. With that said, I'm going for the Titans today because Merriman told Bullock after their first game to enjoy watching the Chargers in the playoffs from his couch. That pissed me off and I could care less about the Titans until I heard that...

i hear ya man, who wants all of that other filler stuff. 19 - 0 is special enough

I would like the path to be TEN, IND, and then GB

I would LOVE to see a Patriots-Packers Super Bowl

I'd pull for the Chargers. Indy owns Jacksonville.

Well, Indy would have to beat them 3 times in 1 season. Look at the Pats and how they fare usually with the Jets and Miami.

Jags won't choke one of these times!

All Dallas has to do to get to the NFCCC is beat NYC/TB???? Wow. Shows you how important playoff seeding is....

And I'm not convinced Seattle wouldn't be next!!! How easy a Super Bowl road would THAT be??

Personally, I am in the camp that I don't care who we face because I feel the Pats can beat anyone.

I actually don't know if I want to face the Titans more than anyone else though. In fact, I prefer not to face them. I think they are the weakest AFC team left, but they are a physical team known for taking cheap shots and blocking at the knees. I am more afraid about getting out a division round healthy vs. the Titans than the Jags.

If I was to make a choice of the "easiest" path through the AFC, it might actually be Jags this upcoming Saturday and the Chargers the following weekend. Don't forget the Chargers will have faced two physical teams (with what is bound to be a very dirty battle with the Titans after their first meeting), then they will have to travel a couple thousand miles to play in Indy, come home, and then travel across the country to play the Pats. They will have a similiar schedule as the Pats last year and we saw what that did to the Pats in the second half of the AFC Championships.

I didn't see anything from the Jags last night that made me think the Pats can't beat them. In fact, after watching the game, I think I am more confident the Pats can beat the Jags.

I am also in the "I don't really care who we play", that being said, I wouldn't mind the pats beating the colts in the AFCCG.

The Jags can't beat the colts.. They have been dominated by the colts over the last few years. Every year it's "But the jags are better this year" and every year the colts spank them down.
