After a 24-17 loss at Jacksonville, Tomlinson, called a meeting for players only.

The San Diego Chargers' season was in danger of slipping away, and the team's best and most important player knew the time had come to assert himself. So, on the day after Thanksgiving, in a players only meeting called in the wake of the Chargers' fifth loss in 10 games, LaDainian Tomlinson stood in front of his teammates and read them a poem.

Seriously.

Not sure what his poem consisted of, but it's clear he's the emotional leader of that team. They need someone to guide them, because I'm not sure Philip Rivers or Norv Turner are inspiring anyone.

Any truth to the rumor that LT stole the poem from Ron Borges?

I hope it was a haiku.

I'm a classy guy
To mock 'Lights Out' dance? No class.
It comes from their coach.

The poem is called : "The Inner voice" E.E. Cummings

If Titans beat Chargers , it's gonna be ugly for their fans .

I wonder about if the poem was about a running back who plays for stats only and gets seriously pissy when he doesn't get the ball EVERY ****** PLAY.

Seriously, after years of liking this guy, I'm really developing a healthy dislike for this jack ass. He's a moron. I also like how Silver pops a gasket over the Chargers magical win streak....leaving out the part where they beat six crappy teams along the way.

That's absolute nonsense and fabrication. It's funny how some of you get on a roll and just start making things up as you go along.

Is it absolute nonsense? I think not. Remember when Rivers sat down next to him on the bench and the camera caught good ole, LT, Mr. All American himself get up and walk away in disgust? What a great teammate he must be.

No doubt he also refers to himself in the 3rd person as in..."LT better get some carries today so LT can show what LT can do to all of LT's fans."

What a douche. You and him.

How the logical thought process in your mind went from the referenced incident with Rivers and drew this conclusion:

"a running back who plays for stats only and gets seriously pissy when he doesn't get the ball EVERY ****** PLAY."

...is freaking hilarious and delusional.

Yeah, that incident didn't show the real LT or anything. He's sunny side up all the time, just like his army of handlers and marketing agents would have the jersey buying public believe.

I'll enjoy watching him cry again this year after that band of thugs is sent to the loser pile. Hopefully it comes at the hands of the Pats....you know....just like last year.

after his comments this year and last,i'm not as impressed as i once was.he puts on a good show:rolleyes:

Being a former R&D geek, I used super secret internet technology to intercept LTs poem. Here it is...

"I think that I shall never see
A running back as classy as me.
Watching Bolts QB Phil Rivers
sends my spine into deep shivers.
Since this years Pats have Randy Moss
we can guarantee a playoff loss."

Nah read your article. It wasn't "the cummings version". It was some unattributed new-ager... I'm unfamiliar with a poem by that title by e.e. cummings but I'm not a big fan anyway.

just thought I'd clear that one up.

That's why I like this board. There are many guys like you with a sense of reality and objectivity. Good post.

pao

Uh, you 2 root for the same team. Maybe someday they'll have a messageboard for you to visit.

actually , taking both players actions into account these last 2 seasons

i've grown to like PR's personality better than LTs

to elaborate on that

rivers talks mad **** during a game, which i like being that he's a former LB...i expect it

but once the game ends (aside from the hobbs incident) he lets it go win or lose , and moves on
it's just a game and he's having fun

personally i think him and norv have been the most calming steady people for the chargers all season

I guess the difference is that LT is one of the GOAT RBs. I don't mind if he's a prick, I just don't like pricks that pretend not to be a prick. Anyway, he seems whiney but I don't know him and he IS a great player. Rivers is not very good, IMO.

It's not absolute nonsense. He complained publicly about not getting the ball enough.

Everyone complained about Martyball - run, run, run, be conservative. So the Dolts fired Schotty and hired Turner. Turner opened up the playbook and passed. LdT whined about not getting the ball. Turner flopped and is now coaching a la Schottenheimer.

Just like in Baltimore, the inmates are running the asylum.

Have you been a fan for less than a year, or do you have selective memory? Ask someone who saw the Chargers playoff game last year. Let them tell you about Rivers screaming in a falsetto little-girl voice at Hobbs, "You're the worst corner in the league."

Rivers sucks, and he is a little kitty cat. He is quick to make fun of people who are losing (Cutler) and cries like a little girl when someone makes fun of him (Hobbs).

Too bad we won't get to play you this year, but you'll never make it past the Colts.
