I hate it when season ticket holders do this

That's a pretty good idea -they would be able to nail 'em cold.

id volunteer to do all the bidding, reporting, etc, if kraft would give me his credit card to pay for them!

they would NOT have a 55K waitlist. do you think kraft would rather have a 5K waitlist, or a 55K waitlist? that is my point.

the pats will not be a perfect team forever... the next year we go 5-11, a 5K waitlist evaporates (mostly because scalpers cant make a buck)... it's the same with any team, in any town.

i think lots of people underestimate how many STH/waitlist members are scalpers... just look at ebay or stubhub... do you think they are fans, or profiteers? how does vivid seats in chicago have 25-100 seats available (in hand, not through eventinventory) for every game?

And you think those 50K scalpers will stay on the waiting list when the Pats start tanking?

Your point about the number of scalpers on the waiting list may be valid but it is irrelevant. The Pats will sell the same number of tix and fill the same number of seats whether or not there are scalpers. Scalpers do not CREATE a market; they cater to it.

wrong. scalpers, even if there are only 2 of them, buy seats... kraft's job is to sell seats... this year, yes, the pats would sell every seat, even if you had to show an ID to enter with your personal, photo-embossed ticket... but, ONLY if every seat in the stadium was sold to a STH... no one wanted tickets to a couple of the december games, in fact, even scalpers LOST money on them due to weather... ticketexchange was FLOODED with tickets that STH's did not want (hundreds of them)... plus, most seasons are not like this one (16-0).

Your point is correct if we are to assume that scalpers buy every avaialble seat for every event everywhere. But I don't think that's the case.

What you are not mentioning is that if the Pats were not a hot ticket, scalpers would not have pre-purchased all of those seats. Would scalpers buy a few more seats than would have been purchased otherwise in very lean years? I have no idea. But I am sure that if tickets to the Jets game went on sale a month before the game to the general public, they would have sold out, so your point about scalpers losing money is moot.

But I'm not even talking about that. What I am saying is that NOW, people are breaking the rules that the Krafts set up, thereby preventing the only allowable re-sale method, which in turn prevents waiting list members the opportunity to purchase seats at close to face value, as the Krafts designed.

Anyway, I'm sure we'll come to an agreement about this real soon. ;)

lol (at your agreement comment)... the ticketexchange (which you correctly refer to as the legal method) allows both waitlist, AND STH to buy tickets... i agree that the scalpers selling on ebay/stubhub/eventinventory/whatever are shutting the real pats fans out... my point about the scalpers losing money is not moot though... without any scalpers, MANY actual fans would not have to depend on ticketexchange to get tickets... THEY would BE the STH's, not dependent on ticketexchange (which is not going to have any playoff tickets, folks)... patjew please go to bed now :p! im tired (it's 2AM here), and it is probably only 3PM in hong kong...lol, too tired to con... tin... ue... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
ps. krafts did not set up ticketexchange to get tix to fans at close to face, they did it to make more bucks.

lol. Yes it is 3 PM here.

I recognize your points. Go to bed!

Forget about Bob Kraft doing a sting operation. Here's what the Pats should do: Bring the exact same legal action against EBay as they did against StubHub (StubHub is owned by EBay). Assuming they win (and why wouldn't they?), the Pats would get their hands on a list of everyone who sold or bought Pats tickets on EBay. The Pats could then run EBay's list against their season ticketholder list, cancelling the season tickets of anyone who matched. As an added "bonus," they could also report anyone who violated the Massachusetts antiscalping law to state authorities.

After EBay, the Pats could target other popular ticket scalping sites, like Craig's List. Before you knew it, every season ticketholder would be on TicketExchange (and the scalpers would be out of business). :)

This guy is not a season ticket holder. He is a ticket broker (whether he calls himself that or not), which has access to season tickets (whether they are his or not), the kind which I agree the Pats should stop. Has anyone sent this to the Pats?

The $10.00 shipping charge made me laugh.

This problem is a result of caplitalism on crack. Capitalism, as executed by the ignorant, selfish, and domineering, does not work. Neither, of course, does socialism for the same reason. Both isms, as commonly executed are more like Screw-a-Nomics because of the criminals running the systems. They bleed it to their personal advantage.
