Would ya'll rather have the Jaguars or the Steelers win the game this Saturday?

Jaguars for 3 simple reasons:

1- pats vs jag on 01/12/08.
2- i'm tired of hearing jag kicks pats ars from radio showhosts.
3- we defeated steelers, didn't we.? it's time to play somebody who is 'new' to us.

Good question. Obviously Titans are optimal but assuming even Norv can beat that injury-riddled team at home ...

I think Jags. Even though Pats OWN Pitt -- esp. in the playoffs -- they have the seasoned playoff vets who could *maybe* pull off an upset.

I just see absolutely no way Jax with that secondary and lack of passing game can hang with NE.

Much of a muchness really.

Roethlisberger scares me as much as any QB in the league, but since Willie Parker is out I'm leaning towards Pittsburgh.

It's very tough to root for Pitt though, so no doubt I'll end up pulling for Jax.

Jacksonville. NE has already beaten Pittsburgh. I don't want any team or fan base to be able to say anything stupid about how they could have beaten NE if they played them. It's the same reason I want to see Green Bay in superbowl.

Besides, R-whatever could have the game of his life and beat NE. Garrard can't. Solid but unspectacular won't get it done.

Jags.

Want to crank the total up to 7 different playoff teams we’ve beaten this season.

Actually the ideal situation would be

Jags > Steelers
Jags > Colts

Titans > Chargers
Pats > Titans

Pats > Jags
Pats > Packers

That would make the total 9 different playoff teams. Further increasing the greatness of the 2007 Patriots.

I think Pittsburgh will win.

And i wouldn't be surprised at all if Jacksonville got the living **** kicked out of them.

they are way too over hyped and i see a bloodbath coming.

My new favorite poster! I'm feeling a convincing win myself... :D

I'm not buying the "Watch out for the Jags" commentary. Yes the Steelers are banged up but they are playing at home. I think they've been consistently inconsistent this year and are due for their "good" game tomorrow.

I'm think Pittsburgh can handle Jax just fine. BUT, I hope the Jags win so we can take them out.

I actually like Disco's scenario. :rocker:

I'm hoping the Steelers kick the living s*** out of Jax so we don't have to hear about how "dangerous" they are or how they "match up really well against the Patriots".

Every year we have to live through this same charade. They talk the Jags up all season long and they dissapoint in the end.

Jacksonville barely beat Pittsburgh a few weeks ago. Now, after a solid week of hearing how they will lose at home, I look for the Steelers to play their best game of the season.

While I share some people's desire to face Jacksonville only to prove to the media that trendy picks rarely deliver in the playoffs, the Jags are a more physical team than Pittsburgh and I think the Pats would be better off playing the Steelers than the Jaguars.

I'm thinking that Pittsburgh is going to win as they are getting completely overlooked and no respect anywhere. Everyone is picking the Jags. They are an excellent home team and I love Big Ben against that D. W/o Willie they will end up passing the ball over 40 times and I think that is to their advantage. I am a big believer in Ben and he scares me more than anyone ouside of Manning in the entire NFL. Their receivers are gonna run wild in that secondary. I think their injuries will have a much bigger impact against the Pats in round 2 as we have a better pass rush and since we are not as strong against the run Willie being out will really hurt them.

I suppose I'd rather beat the Steelers again, but I don't expect them to get that far.

I prefer the Steelers, but I think the Jaguars can easily handle them. They're the hottest team in the league right now, and Pittsburgh has been going downhill for weeks. Jags all the way.

It's the same reason I want to see Green Bay in superbowl..

For the sake of the secondary ticket exchange market, I would surely NOT like to see Dallas or GB. Those fans will drive up the tickets probably 50% from what they would be if the Pats faced Seattle or TB.

I don't know why you people get so wound up over the media hyping up a team.

What is ESPN et. al. supposed to do? Just say that nobody can beat the Patriots in the post season other than Indy and then stare at the camera for 28 minutes?

I think Pitt wins.

How is it that a team that has lost TWICE to Indy is getting so much respect??
Because they ran on some bad teams?
