I was there. They opened the Dana Farber field house at half time - that was the only way we made it through the game. Free Dunkin Donuts coffee and a chance to warm up before braving the second half.

I was actually much, much colder at the Snow Bowl because of the wet precipitation. That's the coldest I've ever been.

I was there. It was cold, but the coldest game I've ever been at was the AFCCG in Pittsburgh before Super Bowl 39.

I was there. We made chili for tailgating which stayed hot in a crockpot. By the time you lifted it from your bowl to your mouth on a spoon it was ice cold. Great game! Nobody sat the entire time. Everyone was stomping around trying to stay warm and cheer the Pats!!

I was there, and it was the coldest I have ever been in my life.

One good thing was these two HOTTIES offered to share their blanket with me! I didnt except (had to show my manhood), but I shared some of my "hidden" adult beverage with them. We had a blast. :rocker:

It was so cold. Vinatieri hit an incredible field goal that just snuck in the bottom corner. The ball must have felt like a rock. People don't talk about that kick as much as they should.

Re: Anyone here go to the Titans playoff game that was coldest in history for the Pat

I had about 3,400 layers on so I wasn't that cold :D

Re: Anyone here go to the Titans playoff game that was coldest in history for the Pat

I was there, unearthly chill, thank god for the whiskey that was running through my veins to keep me warm lol

Re: Anyone here go to the Titans playoff game that was coldest in history for the Pat

I was there too my the top of my beer froze in 5 min :D

I was there, had many layers on.

Great time. :rocker:

Quoted for truth. I still maintain that kick was TOUGHER than the Snow Bowl game kick. I remember watching the kickers and punters warming up before the game and at halftime - they were having trouble kicking anything more than 30 yards at best. Most of the kickoffs had trouble making it to the 15yard line. Hell, take a look at the PUNTING stats for that game:

Ken Walter - 4 punts, 108 yards, 27 avg.
Craig Hentrich - 4 punts, 136 yards, 34 avg (brought up considerably by a fluke 56 yarder that was misplayed by the returner)

Yet AV made a 46 yarder with less than 5 minutes remaining in a tie ballgame.

Now only that but they were slushy in 2 minutes before they froze in 5. I remember keeping them in the car to keep them from freezing. I also remember going to eastern mountain sports that morning and it was a run on handwarmers ect by everybody going to the game.

I was there. I recall having to chug my beer at the stadium before it froze in the bottle.

I have been fortunate to have been to 'em all, as discussed in this thread.

Funny thing is - wet & cold of Snowbowl or sub zero of Tenn, just don't seem that bad at all when the team WINS!!!

That's interesting, I've never heard that. I remember it snowed the day of or before the game. What was the temp.?

Re: Anyone here go to the Titans playoff game that was coldest in history for the Pat

I was at the Titans game. I remember that it seemed colder at the tailgate then when we were actually in the stadium (probably because with all layers on we were packed together so tight). I also remember the beer taps freezing at the 300 level so we had to get bottled beer, and it froze. It was like a beer flavored slushy :)

Re: Anyone here go to the Titans playoff game that was coldest in history for the Pat

I remeber being hot in the pregame tailgate because of the tent and heater and OK in the game due to all the layers. Post game the guy with the tent and heater didn't stay and it was freezing.

During the game I'll never forget the guy in front of me jumping up and down after the Brady to Bethel TD pass and his beer freezing in mid air as it came out of the plastic bottle.

I was at that one. It was ridiculously cold. I wore football tights and sweats under my jeans. 2 pairs of socks. An underarmour, long sleeve t-shirt, turtleneck, sweatshirt, hoody and jersey. Winter cap. Receiving gloves under my wool gloves. I was still cold. My feet didn't thaw out until we were halfway through Ohio on the way back home. I was in the open end of the stadium next to the river in the upper deck...so cold. I went down on the field for the celebration and got an AFC Champs hat, and couldn't put it on because my hands didn't work well enough to adjust the size.

I was sitting by myself and the Steeler fan next to me bought me an Iron City beer in the 3rd quarter. I took a drink, set it down and watched a play or two and then picked it up and it was a slushy.

So. Cold.

.

The Pats DVD of that season has this one lineman for the Titans going: "Man, it's so cold I can't feel my arms or my legs. I'm freaking out!"

NE weather.

And "global warming"
