Broncos (!?!) writer(?) sour grapes

He's just bitter that the back to back SB wins of Denver has been entirely eclipsed by the 'boys dynasty before that, and the Pats dynasty after that.

He sums up his bitterness with his last two lines:

"We are forced to appreciate the dominance of New England.

Doesn't mean we have to like it. "

The poor thing. He does sound like he needs a hug.

Yikes. I wouldn't expect that kind of stupidity even from a co-worker.

LMAO at this poor pathetic douchebag.

Sad thing is he got paid to write this crap.

I read that story, I question that this guy even feels this way or is he preaching to the choir because no one out of NY is attacking the Pats like he did. I know there's lots of hatred towards the Pats, but this is so stupid he can't be serious. The point he makes about Brady is the perfect example. Who the hells knows what happened, but what kind of a woman tells the baby's father she's pregnant through the press ? I personally think Tom was backing away from the relationship because he figured out she's unbalanced (following him around after the breakup, showing up out of the blue while he's at a club). How can this even bring this up when the Broncos employ the Gold Medal winner for fathering babies out of wedlock.

This moron isn't telling us how he really feels, why, because he won't stand out from the crowd, which is ALL he's trying to do !

Gotta luv a Donks rump swab taking the high moral ground over the cameragate rule infraction which had zero game consequence when his team was fined draft picks for TWICE making illegal salary cap machinations resulting in their two SB wins. Incredible.

And I missed the part where he cited evidence that Brady was not the great QB any thinking football fan knows he is.

He is a Denver Bronco hater, the worst kind. No make that the 2nd worst kind behind only the Steelers.

Hey, lay off the guy, his home town heroes are as pure as the driven snow; salary cap violations, Travis "me no wear a condom" Henry, numerous arrests this year. Nope, his team is the poster child for all that is right in the NFL.

Glad you like the article Jake you tool, I'll print it out so you can make copies to line your crib with.

The king of Patriot haters likes the article, WOW, what a shock.

Get a grip clambrain and keep the shots coming, we can't wait for more of your brilliant insight............

you mean the salary cap cheating, women inpregnating broncos beat writer doesn't like belichick's face ? has he ever looked at rat shanahan. that guy looks like he was beat with the ugly stick . glass houses, people !

jake lamotta was a wife beating piece of crap.

Aw c'mon... tell me the self-righteous smugsters who reside here wouldn't be creaming all over this little article if the guys in question happened to play for somebody else.

I mean, the hater whining here after the Colts won, and the Steelers took Super Bowl XL could've filled up Wikipedia.

God I can only imagine how you'd all be if Dungy had been the one caught spycam cheating. Or Manning had daddied out of wedlock instead of your boy.
Seriously, you jokers crack me up! You can cut the hypocrisy here with a chainsaw.

It's the concept of "living in glass houses", Jake. Not that you would understand that.

We have little on your posting history, so we don't really know where you're coming from. But I suspect it's not some place nice....and you repeat tired, worn, incorrect and invalid assumptions ad infinitum, ad nauseum like you have a point to make, only you can't.

So exactly what's the point, Jake? Enlighten us....

He sounds like he needs to be put out of his misery.

He can't tell you what his point is as he clearly does not have one, all he does is spew garbage, check out his posts.

Typical hater.

It's one thing to register at another fan forum to talk football, it's quite another to do nothing other than throw cheap shots and be a ballbreaker 24/7 with moronic posts/comments etc which are done for no other reason that to stir the pot.

Lame, pathetic, sad..............

I love three things about this article (and by love, I mean laugh-out-loud-in-the-face-of-the-******ed-author kind of love):

"While putting together an MVP-worthy season, receiver Randy Moss wears a sneer."

Well color me surprised, I was under the impression Moss was a model citizen this whole season and did nothing but say the right things and play football with intensity and joy. I guess I was wrong. </sarcasm>

Also, comparing the Pats to the Yankees. Sorry buddy, but we're living in a salary capped world here in the NFL, it ain't quite the same. Yeah, people hate winners (jealousy, can't blame them) and will find anything and everything (please note the ridiculous comments about Moss, Belichick and Brady) to tear them down. But this team is so good BECAUSE they are so good...players want to play for this team and are willing to take a pay cut to do so. That genius coach you just disrespected? He's the reason this team is so good, and why great players come here.

Finally, this whole mess of a statement:

"Before we assume Belichick is tougher than Vince Lombardi, before anyone starts mentioning Brady in the same breath as Johnny Unitas, much less Joe Montana, and before some computer geek claims to have simulated a 73-0 victory by these Patriots over the 1940 Chicago Bears, kindly allow me to interject two small words.

Get serious."

Ummmm....you're talking about a coach who could very well win his 4th Super Bowl in 7 seasons (not to mention two more as an assistant) and just took home his second Coach of the Year trophy. You're talking about a quarterback who's won 3 Super Bowls, 2 Super Bowl MVP's, just threw for the most touchdowns in a season ever, has the 4th highest (and rising every year) QB rating ever, and has the best winning percentage ever. And you're talking about a team that set all kinds of records, won every single game they've played this season, beat the 2nd and 3rd best teams in football on their fields, scored the most points in NFL history, and set the record for point differential in a season.

I'm sorry, but you get serious.

Enough of a rant...I just have to laugh at the insanity of some of these jealous hacks.

I think you left out John Lynch ripping a players helmet off and throwing across the field.

This guy seriously writes more like a jealous blogger than a print journalist. Anyone have any background on this baffoon?

I had a simpler take reading this guy--he hates the Pats, but really is more of a whiny sore loser for teams his Denver Post covers--think about it:

-- 3 months ago his Cinderella Colorado Rockies were owned 4-0 by the Red Sox.

-- His Denver Broncos have been somewhere between mediocre and disaster for the last season and a half, not even making the playoffs ever since Shanahan cut loose Plummer and went to Cutler. I mean, if you remember early in the 2006 season, they beat the Pats, had great D, and were one of the highest rated teams. OK the Denver Nuggets are good.

Denver didn't violate the salary cap. Pat Bowlen deferred payments to John Elway and Terrell Davis in order to put money down for the building of Invesco Field at Mile High. The NFL said the Broncos gained no competitive advantage.

I read the article but for the life of me, I can't imagine anyone taking this seriously .... sounds like a childish rant by someone who hates playing with the big boys...

Well, what do you expect a hater to do except take cheap shots as he cannot provide any objective criticism, which would be welcomed by NE fans..

Just goes to show that it takes all types..

I was at the Giants game and surrounded by Giants fans. They were quite classy and complimented the Pats a lot for their great season. They didn't come across as haters. They did want to win the game though and booed Manning a lot for his time management, especially in the last five minutes of the game. However, I think most were happy with the 35 points. They didn't expect to win... not one of them. I think most were pleasantly surprised they came so close in terms of the final score. It's as if they couldn't believe it.

Like I have told you guys, I lived in Denver and they have the worst fans I have ever met(squeelers are a close 2nd).
Guess there writers S#%k too.

Hey, lay off the guy, his home town heroes are as pure as the driven snow; salary cap violations...

Exactly! I stopped reading after "If Bill Belichick is the smartest coach on the planet with the greatest team of all time, then why did he have to cheat?"

Coming from Denver that's a laugh. Just because the Donks weren't as criticized as the Pats doesn't mean it wasn't as bad. As a matter of fact I'd say it was much much worse. No one to this day can say how "Spygate" helped the Patriots win even one game. But, circumventing the salary cap to keep a loaded roster is directly responsible for wins they should have never had. They had their chance in '05. The refs handed them a win against the Pats and the next week when they had to win it on their own they failed.
