Are You Scared Of The Colts?

Let people worry about you and let the Colts worry about what the Patriots will do to them, in "our house" if we should meet. Do you know how good this team is? Whilst I respect the talent they have and what they bring...

F*ck the Colts.

It's good to focus on one game at a time, if the players didn't follow that mentality it chances are they would've overlooked someone and got a loss or two.

As fans though I think, with so few games left to end the year, we can start being realistic and looking through the competition and assume we won't overlook anyone. If that's the case, the Colts are our biggest threat. Jags are great but inexperienced in playoffs. And no one else worries me including the entire NFC.

I highly doubt we will get another team record in penalties at the Razor this time. I also highly doubt their WR will be able to tackle our CB from behind and get defensive pass interferance again.

If they are going to beat us they are going to have to do it with guts and determination. I'm looking forward to the match up.

all football fans get nervous rooting for their team before a big game.

just remember this - we already beat them WITH DWIGHT FREENEY.
now we play them WITHOUT DWIGHT FREENEY.

Whether Marvin Harrison is back or not, it will be a war, but the pats are at home, and have a great offense, and hopefully, they will be able to make a few more key plays than the colts. make no mistake though, the colts are a tremendous team, fully capable of beating us and ending our season. we just have to hope the pats don't let that happen and come through with a great performance.

god I hope so.

+1.

Barring exogenous facts such as fake crowd noise, biased officiating, and a flu-ridden defense, the Pats always elevate their game in the postseason. Hopefully those factors won't apply since the Pats are in Foxboro and should be well rested. The Colts, on the other hand, generally have cold weather meltdowns outdoors in January.

+2

Seems like a lock for another bogus PI call against Ellis Hobbs.

I feel the Colts could be a tough test if/when we get to the AFCCG.
I'm very concerned about the officiating, especially as it pertains to Moss and our db's. Oh, and their o-line as well.
Manning & the offense seem to be in a groove the last few weeks, and their 'd', while w/o Freeney, will probably be very healthy considering the amount of games their guys have been sitting.
After seeing last year's AFCCG, then this year's Colt's/Pat's game, I just don't want the result to smell funny if you know what I mean.

I'm focusing on the fact that your just a Colt's troll.

Boys, I don't want to admit it, but I'm scared like a yellow-belly coward that they'll come in our house, spread us out, and work us.

This man be the deciding factor in it all...

Let's be honest, there's a chance our dream ends at 17-0.

I read some of the posts, and it's like some guys really believe we're going to cruise to 19-0. That AFC Championship game is a 3pt game either way. :(

There's a chance the sun won't rise tomorrow too... We beat that team in their house. Sure Harrison was out, but what makes you think he'll be back any time soon? He's missed almost an entire season, he is seldom a factor in the post season, and he may well be done period. Not to mention they lost Freeney for the season.

The Colts have more to worry about than we do. They haven't beat the 3 seed Chargers in their last three tries...there is a good chance the Colts dream of repeating or even getting to another AFCC ends at 13-4.

I acknowledge them as the second best team in the 2007 American Football Conference.

I acknowledge us as one of the greatest teams of all-time.

That is all.

That's why I think the NFL is a little rigged sometimes. Maybe some people get paid off, I don't know.

But in the 4th quarter, before the Colts were penalized twice, we had already had 10 penalties to their two, and racked up nearly 150yds of penalties, which is a record in Patriots history.

It was clear and evident that something was going on, that we were battling someone else aside from the Colts that night. Part of me thinks the NFL didn't want the game to be a blowout, knowing how highly viewed it would be and the implications it could have in January, part of me thinks Polian paid off a first year referee.

Overall, this has been a bad year for officiating, but it really bugs me when the players like Moss are targeted for OPI, and anytime a defender gets up motioning with his hands, it seems the refs are inclined to call it.
In the case of the Colt's game, he didn't even have to be near a Colt to get called for it.

How could you *not* be scared of the Colts, or the Colts not scared of the Pats?

I think you should be asking are the colts scared of us... cause the Pats arent scared of nobody!

Sorry. It's a three point game in Indy but not in Foxboro. The last two Pats-Colts games in Indy give me great confidence that the Colts have ZERO shot of coming into our house in January and winning. Not a chance. It won't be close either. YOU know it.

I can't speak for how the Pats feel about the Colts or vice versa, but I know some Colt and NE fans certainly scare me! :p ;)

hmm, i agree...

i think the colts fans are too scared of US, forget about us being scared of anyone else...

most ppl here want to face the colts again....colts' fans seem to want us out of the picture in our first playoff game, so that they wont have to face us..

How could you *not* be scared of the Colts, or the Colts not scared of the Pats?

Win/loss record of the two teams since Brady became a starter?

Playoff records of Manning and Brady?

16-0?

Victory over the Colts in Indianapolis during the regular season?

Confidence in improved officiating after the last 2 debacles involving these two teams?

Absence of Freeney?

Improved health of Seymour?

General mentality of the Patriots vs. general mentality of the Colts?

Any team can be beaten, but "fear"? No.

Colts fans will never admit to this, but they have maybe one impressive win all season, against the Jags at home...by 3 points. They have the excuse of injuries to claim "moral victories" against NE and SD, that's about it. Indy can only claim to be on NE's level by playing them close (so could Baltimore and Philly though).

New England's list of impressive victories:

Beating SD by 24 in primetime
Beating Dallas in their house by 21
Beating playoff-bound Washington by 45
Beating Indy in their house with a great 4th-quarter comeback
Beating Pittsburgh by 21
Beating the Giants in primetime with 22 unanswered after falling behind 12

NE is going to have fun 1/20.

I am less worried than I was before the last matchup. I advise those who are concerned to watch the last matchup one more time. You will see that the Colts absolutely brought their A game. Those pickoffs of Brady were great catches--shoestring or bouncing off bodies. Some amazing catches were made by Indy receivers which would be difficult to duplicate. Then you had the fortuitous Addai run and the crappy officiating which kept them in the game in the first half.

It won't be nearly as close, my friends.

I'm scared like a yellow-belly coward
. :(

There's your problem right there. And you don't even play-:).. Unless you don't think the Patriots are the best team in the NFL this year, there's nothing to be "scared like a yellow-belly coward" about. IMO, the Colts are the 2nd best team in the NFL.
