I could see us facing Redskins in Super Bowl

boys, boys

i see no one who can play w the Cokeboys when they are on. which they will be. the Packers are pretenders. and the rest are the B team.

we better get emotionally ready for a frickin battle in Phoenix against a VERY GOOD team. (after having to beat the defending champ colts again) it wont be like playing the Grossman-led Bears, last year.

wishing for anything less, is just that, wishful thinking.

I disagree the Cowboys have played awful ever since the Green Bay game and I really think it will be tough to win one game. Their offense really looks out of sink and all I came think about is last year went they tanked the last part of the season I see the same thing happening.

The Skins give me a 2001 Pats feeling. They can make the SB because this team is rolling against quality NFC opponents. They will get past Seattle no doubt.

Joe Gibbs is his own worst enemy. He would try to outcoach Belichick instead of just playing to win ... either way he loses though.

If Dallas does not make it to the Super Bowl, Wade Phillips is gone. He'll be replaced by Jason Garrett, which could still happen even unless Dallas wins it all. Washington is not going anywhere. They had a four game winning streak, good for them. One was against a decimated Bears team (I live in Chicago and I'm here to tell you that they really do suck). The Giants and Vikings, wooohoooo!
For the record: celebrating the 16-0 regular season was the best thing for the Patriots, now its over and they can concentrate on the playoffs.

Scout....could not agree with you more ...great post......Now that the "monkey" is off their back....The Pats are going to rock and demolish teams again........Think of all the pressure they have been under the past 6 games at least......The players said they weren't thinking about it....one game at a time.....please....a chance to MAKE HISTORY???? Now that this goal is over.....only one more ...WIN THE SB!!!!! GO PATS!!!!!!

I'm not sure about that. Look at the teams Collins has faced: Chicago, NYG, Minnesota, Dallas. Minnesota's weakness is pass defense. NYG and Chicago are mediocre against the pass. Dallas wasn't playing for anything and Washington caught them in a slump.

:wha:

You mean that defense that sacked Brady a grand total of ONE time. Brady torched their secondary (29/38 for 306 yards, 3 TD's, 0 INT's and he was pulled in the 4th qtr) and also Maroney had a pretty good game too (14 rushes for 75 yards, 2 catches for 37 yards) even though he was coming off his groin injury.

The pats have never blown anyone out in the SB, if, and I expect it to happen, Gibbs gets to the SB with Collins, I will take Gibbs and the mega-points over anyone.

Well call me silly. I can see the Cowboys in the Superbowl.

Redskins...not so much.

Yeah and the Pats never had Moss, Stallworth, Welker, or AD until this year. Those SB's have no effect on this year's contest.

give gibbs 2 weeks to prepare and he's tough and will find a way to keep it close, at least closer than the spreadsmaker are likely to call it. pats outright, skins w/ points. guess i'll get called a skins fan now.

You're either reliving the eighties or pretty easily impressed...

I don't really know what team you are a fan of.

I just know you are wrong.

Gee, if only we could somehow compare a game between the Redskins and the Patriots.

Redskins will come back to reality and lose to Seattle this week.

Has anyone come out and said that newton_tom_cat is flat out wrong? I will. Washington will be lucky to win once in the playoffs and extremely lucky to win twice, and will not advance beyond that.

Remember a few weeks ago Minnesota was the trendy "they got hot at the right time" pick? That's what Washington is now. You've been deluding yourself.

Dallas has been playing like shyt and Romo is getting that deer in the headlights look again. I'm calling for either the Giants or Redskins to upset them. I think the Redskins will have a tougher time getting by Seattle. If they do they will beat the Cowboys. I think the Giants are going to blow out Tampa and they could beat Dallas as well (if the skins lose).

I agree...Dallas with a health T.O. is a very dangerous team. Washington is a pretender like Seattle, TB and the Giants.

I could see it too, but I won't.

Serioiusly, does anybody think the Skins can beat the Cowboys in a meaningful game? I like what Todd Collins is doing, but they would have to play in Dallas.

Anything is possible. That *would* be a kick in the balls to a very good Dallas team.

Yes i can see it, Dallas is SOFT, more of a good old boys country club then an elite NFL team.

They have been fading since the Green Bay Game and nothing will prevent their demise because their coach is not really an NFL coach but a glorified baby sitter for the Jerry Jones ego brigade.

The Boys success this year is the aftermath of Bill Parcels input into the organization. This success will fade quickly, you can count on Owens to lead this charge immediately following their demise in the playoffs.

I can almost see the point.

But after what the Pats did to them earlier? Somehow you have to figure out how they stop the Pats' passing game, and then you can make that bet. If anybody was easy pickins for Brady it was the Redskins. Nothing they do on offense will solve that problem.

Either the Redskins are creating a great illusion or they are a team of destiny. I cannot believe in the latter just yet. They have zero track record in this era, and a QB that would have to have star dust in his eyes to not get picked clean in a SB.

Yes, but it doesn't hurt to reinforce the point. :D

Anybody who realistically thinks that the Redskins are going to the superbowl is just plain wrong.
