"Parcells has been around the Dolphins less than a week. He has seen only two full practices, one walkthrough practice and one game in person. And he already knows Cameron is not the man he wants running his team.

Parcells apparently told Huizenga he has heard stories about Cameron spending some of his time monitoring the team's website to make sure the players are being asked the right questions by club-employed reporters. Cameron also wanted to make sure the players were giving the right answers.

Parcells told Huizenga he doesn't want a coach that is worried about blogs or website interviews. He wants a tough-minded, hard-driven football man who is more concerned with football than facade."

I'm sure that's not a rumor. He said in an interview last week. He was going to interview Mueller first. Because, he had more time to prepare his season-ending evaluation than Cameron. Because Cameron had a game to prepare for. Exit interviews with players, etc. Then, he would interview Cam. After that interview. Bye-bye Cam. I was very hard on Cam when he was hired. Pointing out his awful record while a college coach. Under .500. I was told that didn't matter because he wasn't at a good program. My point was that a good coach would at least get them a little over .500. I'm sure Cameron is toast.

Why bother with rumorers about someone else's franchise?

Why not just sit back and wait for actually facts to come out of Miami?

We're bored. We don't have a game this week:)

Shocking. I cannot believe that Cameron's focus was wrong.

Hey, why doesn't Bill hire the guy they're going to fire in NY after the Giants get bopped? I heard that they know each other pretty well. I heard that the NY guy is pretty tough and doesn't do the interent much.

I'll tell you what, that may be a pipe dream but if it happened the Patriots and Dolphins would be getting back into some prime turf wars again. That could be quite entertaining.

This cannot possibly be true. Aqua4Ever a.k.a. TWguru told us that Cam was a terrific pick for HC. Why would Tuna fire such a great HC?

I have little doubt Cameron is gone too.

that's why you had to laugh at what Bryant Gumbel said when the Dolphins hired Parcells...it was seriously one of the dumbest things I'd ever heard. He said maybe since they knew Parcells was coming they would be inspired to come out and win some games (this was after they won that one game). Please. Everyone there had to know Parcells was going to get rid of 95% of that team....that sort of intimidation does not translate into inspired play by a team as hapless as the Dolphins.

I believe we were also told that letting Welker go for the 60th pick in the draft and the Porter signing were strokes of genius....Thus the immediate firing of Mueller.

I must admit there is a strange irony here. While at New Orleans, Mueller orchestrated the Ricky Williams trade in which the Saints bilked Miami out of two firsts and a third for a guy who misprioritized ganja over football. Gotta wonder what the long term effect of having three drafts go up in smoke has had on Miami?

It's a local paper so the guy might have some access.

Our local writers don't (except Reiss) but a sinking ship like Miami must have all sorts of links. Just depends who you believe.

He's still pimping him at the temporary Finheaven location. I linked to it in another thread. That kid just doesn't understand football.

Aqua/TW is priceless, read on a Doofins MB he is against the firing of Cameron because "The system works", to which a Doofin fan said something to the effect of "The system works? We were 1-15!"

Aqua, you are a gem, you really are, and endless source of entertainment and a true "guru".............LMFAO.................

That's a slightly different take than this Palm Beach Post report that has Parcells considering keeping Cam

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphins/content/sports/epaper/2007/12/31/1231cameron.html?cxtype=rss

Hey I hope he does keep him - but it seems to me he's lost the respect of a lot of his players, and the fact he needed to kick Keith Traylor off the team last week seems like a desparate attempt to flex some muscle, but its too little too late

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...raylor1230,0,991480.story?coll=sfl-bonus-news

Speaking of which, Traylor's a fat widebody but any quality depth is probably considered this time of year... seems like they stopped short of actually cutting him likely to stop the Patriots from picking him up and embarrassing the Dolphins further.
