What did Jacobs do to draw the ire of Seau, Bruschi & Wilfork?

I know Wilfork's playful "poke" of Jacobs was blown out of proportion by the likes of Collingsworth and will likely get even further blown out of proportion by other mediots - but obviously Jacobs did something worthy of the anger we saw in Seau, Bruschi & Wilfork. It must've been something pretty bad.

Of course, if the morons at NFL Network had shown a replay, we might have a clue, but they chose to focus on Wilfork's ultimately harmless and overblown act. Did anyone (maybe someone at the game) get a look at what Jacobs did on that play? It must've been really cheap/dirty, the guy looked like he knew he was a punk and that he deserved what he was getting.

He tried to get more yards on a run.

Playful poke? I may be a homer, but you, sir, are King of all Homers!

They must have been playing "eye tag." That's an awesome game, but only if you win.

It's not a poke until it makes contact, and he never did. Essentially all he did was give Jacobs a friendly warning.

It is still dirty... It isn't right to try injure a man so he can no longer make a living. It was physical game and that was uncalled for. With all that said it was a good game and the Pats are an amazing team.

I agree that it was stupid and he'll probably get fined for it, but he didn't exactly put a lot of steam behind that poke, I really don't think he was trying to hurt him and make it so "he can no longer make a living". He put his finger there and kind of wiggled it, he didn't JAM it in trying to poke his eye out.

Again, he will probably be fined, justifiably so, since you can't be doing crap like that.

It was a great game...but I am positive Jacobs did more than just run hard to get 3 Patriot players, 2 respected veterans, extremely angry with him. Plus Jacobs looked like a punk child who got caught doing something wrong.

Thanks to NFL network, we'll never know, but it's likely that whatever fine Wilfork gets, Jacobs deserves something greater.

it was a game filled with scuffles

my guess would be it all started with Harrison being blocked @ the knees which he said in the globe that really ticked him off. then Harrison hit Toomer a little late..then someone probably did something after play to get more players involved.

once your teammate gets attacked, it tends to go beyond them on the field

WEEI is reporting Wilfork will be fined but NOT suspended because his poke didn't cause ANY damage. I'd imagine if he wasn't being playful, it would have. Heck, when he accidentally rolls into a QB he ruins his career or liberates a franchise, depending on your outlook.

He farted at the bottom of the pile, right in Wilfork's face.

So then why did you call it a playful poke?

why would it be playful if Wilfork and Jacobs were shoutting? At same time..i dont think he meant to hurt him as much as he did to taunt/tease

But Jacobs must have done something specifically vicious to get Seau, Wilfork & Bruschi that rip at him. Seau looked like he was ready to tear Jacobs' head off.

The morons at NFLN didn't even acknowledge it.

I agree, Jacobs obviously did something to cause the eruption by Wilfork and Seau.

I also agree that the horrible poke wasn't so bad, Collinsworth just got way too excited. It was uncalled for by Wilfork, but he shouldn't be suspended or sent to prison for it.

It was a good, rough game to get us ready for Jax, Pitt or Tenn.
