I've got you beat. I'm pathetic. Each time I see it again (around 25-30), I STILL get goosebumps - - especially when I relive how I felt at that moment - -from despair at the prior play's missed opportunity, to the "Oh no he's not doing the very same play call on a 3rd and 10!" immediate thought, to utterly losing it with my 7 year old son (who we let stay up late due to his first-time enthusiasm about hanging in there with the Pats). We all jumped around the living room in hushed giddiness, not to wake our 4 year old daughter.

Great memories not even 24 hours old.

P.S. - You're right on target - - one has to play the prior drop/underthrown play with it to get the full experience.

ha ha, that is a great story S. Brady had actually underthrown 81 a few times this year, last night included. Hopefully he gets the time he needs to identify the route earlier and drops more balls into Moss in stride.

What a game though, what a game. How spoiled are we?

You better smarten up... the Stats Genius Police think such moronic enjoyment will eventually doom the Patriots chances in the post season. I couldn't believe he came right back to Moss either and I went beserk in the living room too...but after today, I'll NEVER do that again. It was a REAL BAD play proving statiscally that Brady has zeroed in on Randy Moss for big plays. This is real bad news.....real real bad.

Absolutely, I also like the "Oh..my.. god" from Collingsworth as a reaction to the drop soon to be followed by his "Wow" statement in reaction to the 50 Tds. Classic!

It was just one of those magic moments that encapsulates the Pats this season. They have metamorphosed into an explosive big play offense that can win the game or score on any given play. It's so much fun to watch!

For the record, it WAS NOT the same play twice.
The dropped underthrown pass was a play action.
The next play was a totally different play, and who knows if Brady audibled for Moss to run a fly pattern.

Belichick confirmed post-game that it was not the same play twice.

right, it was supposed to go to Welker, but the Giants D played it such that it left Moss open down the sidelines....

Funny after watching Randy sprint 50-60 yards on successive plays, we don't hear anything about 'taking plays off'. I wish you all could have been in the stadium because as soon as Brady went back to pass and let it go, you could hear the air go out of the stadium and it went dead quiet as he ran into the end zone, other than the Pats fans cheering...

I was just a few rows up in the endzone - it happened right in front of me. I've already played it over in my head a hundred times. I expect I'll replay it again 1000's of times. It was the most amazing experience I've ever had at a football game.

You're 100% right. But, at the time - -live, it seemed like the same play. Afterward, upon seeing the replays, yes, there was no play action in the second play. Belichick or Moss mentioned in the postgame presser that the play was originally set up for an underneath to Welker, but the Giants DBs/LBs were jumping it. Kudos to Moss for 110% on a route where he knew he wasn't the prime target.

Great example of how incredibly fast and complex NFL football is. What we see and ingest during a live game is about 3% of what is going on at the moment.

The personnel package was completely different. 1st play was I formation with 1 WR. Record breaker was 4 WR with a lone setback. Moss ran the same type of route though - the "run past everyone like they are standing still" route.

And how about Brady immediately running down the field with two fingers up ? ..... not the victory sign ...... but to get back to the LOS to go for 2. What focus. Legends are made of this.

Made me thing there must have been a boatload of Pats fans at the game. Maybe it was just the way they had the crowd miked.

And yes, I've watched it over and over and can't get enough. Love these DVRs, unfortunately, mines about full with all the games I've recorded this season. Guess it's time to go for an external drive.

No, you are right. When the 2nd pass was completed .... the stadium DID erupt .... there was at least 15-20% pats fans there, and we went nuts .... I think that shocked the Giants fans almost as much as the TD did.

I don't have a DVR, by choice. I wouldn't have the self control to work and sleep if I could keep watching Brady-to-Moss 24 hours a day.
