Congratulations to the Patriots and their fans for the greatest regular season that the NFL has ever seen. No matter what happens, this team will be remembered as one of the greatest ever. With the team record for points, along with the individual records of Bradey and Moss, the 2007 Patriots have set the bar at such a level, it may never be reached again. I will save my playoff smack for a later post, as this post is to truly say, from a Steeler fan, and a fan of the game of NFL football, well done New England Patriots!!!

Appreciate it. :)

Truly remarkable achievement and it's nice to have the congratulations and respect of fans of other teams, as well.

We, as NFL fans in general, are lucky to have witnessed the game played at such an unprecedented level of excellence this year. Truly historic.

Nice post! Thanks, we truly are fortunate and grateful to be witnessing this brand of football. It wasn't that many years ago that we couldn't make 500 in a season!

Thanks so much! Coming from a Steelers fan, I really appreciate your wishes.

It's truly a great accomplishment, and the Pats have been amazing!

Coming from a fan of an opposing team it means alot and I'm glad to see that the hatred isn't as rampant as I believed it to be.
I got to let you know here in the Philadelphia region of PA. the hatred is sickening.
I was a the video store and a guy told me he wouldn't hold the door for me cause I was wearing My Patriots hat.

Thanks for the honest and kind post. Steelers are a down to earth blue collar team. Their fans are alright!

Yup 16-0 is truly a great accomplishment. Even if you're not a Patriots fan, you've got to admit that they just made some very special history last night.
Don't fret though, the Patriots are aiming higher than that even. They're coming for the Lombardi. Who is ready to stop them?

Very classy & humble post Steeleagle! Thank you! I only hope I would do the same thing were it the Steelers who went 16-0!

Good luck in the playoffs.

I just want to offer my congrats also, amazing season, 16-0 is so hard to do and the Pats had some close calls but Brady and the Pats always had an answer to keep the streak going.

I hope the Steeler fan don't mind me posting in his thread, didn't think you all would want multiple threads..

Coming from a fan of a team with the great heritage of the Steelers those words mean alot. Nothing can ever diminish the accomplishments of that incomparable '70s team.

As a Colts fan, I have to echo SteelEagle's sentiments...great season from the entire Patriots team. In this era of free agency, it's got to be even harder to do than it was in for the Fins back in '72.

Unfortunately, of course, since I AM a Colts fan, I also have to hope for a Patriots playoff loss. You understand, right? At least want a kick-ass AFC championship game, just like week 9 was.

You're cool, and yes we understand, coz we're hoping for a Colts playoff loss! ;) :)

Yeah, as a Dolphin fan I'd have to echo those sentiments. That's an amazing accomplishment for your team and You deserve kudos. I love Coach Shula, but he was wrong to play the Spygate card in relation to what you guys have achieved. I would rather give respect where it's due than be bitter about the whole thing. I'm more concerned with the current (awful) Dolphins team getting turned around than what happened 35 years ago anyway lol. Anyway, enjoy because your team did an awesome job and I know you guys are hoping for them to seal the deal:)

That is appreciated........ win or lose we have always been blue collar. Here's to the playoffs!!!

Thank you for the recognition of the 70's Steelers. A generation from now people are going to look at the 00's Patriots in the same awe. And believe me, when I tell you, that is something that you will always be proud of. Up until this decade, it has been the general (yet arguable) consenses that the 70's Steeler were the greatest team assembled. You finish the deal this year and pick up that fourth ring, and I will be the first to say the 00's Patriots ARE the greatest ever assembled.

Steeleagle,

Thanks for the well wishes coming from a fan of a dynasty like you had in the 70's and the successes since.

Something that WILL live forever as you pointed out; Packers of the 60's, Steelers of the 70's, 49er's of the 80's, Cowboys of the 90's, Patriots of the 00's, all cast in stone. It gives me as a Patriot fan a great sense of pride, they go along now in Boston with the Celtics of the 60's and the Bruins of the 70's and the Celtics of the 80's........................unreal considering what these eyes have seen since the late 60's, early 70's with this team....................wow.

You are, truly, a great football fan! I would feel honored if history looks at the Pats of 2000s in the way it looks at the 70s Steelers.

Thank you...... Not many guarentees in life, but I will guarentee that history will look at these 00s Patriots the same way!!!
