He need only think back to last year’s finale in Tennessee, when a Bobby Wade block - one he’ll go to his grave believing was dirty - sidelined him for the playoffs. So Harrison was none too pleased to see Giants receivers taking repeated runs at his knees last night, Plaxico Burress in particular.

“I’m going to tell you, we saw it on film,” Harrison said. “It wasn’t no secret. They push, they hit late, they come at you and try to take you out. That’s the way they play.”

Harrison was steamed at the end of the game after getting cut. It appeared to be receiver Steve Smith, but afterward Harrison was more interested in Burress.

“Plaxico was going for my knees,” Harrison said. “They’re a big, physical group, but sometimes I feel they go overboard.

“Plaxico was trying to cut my knees, take my knees out. There’s no room for that. But with that type of intensity, that type of atmosphere, you’re going to have that.”

From here...

Some might call this "Pot Calling the Kettle Black," but to be honest it did seem like the Giants took a lot of cheap shots. Yes, there were a few on the Pats side too (wtf Wilfork?).

But it definitely seemed to me like the Giants wanted to turn it into a street-fight early on. I was particularly pissed about the hit on Moss that took him out for a play.

Thoughts?

I was none too impressed by them either

I wish we meet them again and make it a resounding W the second time around. But given how the opponents wither down immediately after playing the Pats, I guess we might not be seeing them this year.

Yeah, if we see the geeeeeeemen again, it'll be a tribute to their resiliency. But good for them, if we do!

Like BB said, they gave us all we could handle. Great game - if we see these guys again I'm fine with that. We still have to get there.

"We still have to get there." Good point, forgot about that.

I didn't expect the Giants to be playing this well and tough, especially after losing some of their players. Didn't watch the game because I am out of the country. Based on the final #s, I am bit shocked that Eli played amazingly well considering his past debacles. Wonder how average QBs seem to do so well against us...

Re: Giants’ low blows concern Harrison

It was obvious from the beginning what the Giants were trying to do to our guys, basically play as dirty as possible the whole game, late hits on Moss, going after Rodney's knees, Brady got hit in the head multiple times with no calls from the refs. Giants are a team of turds, they need to play that way and they still can't win, have fun losing in the first round next week.

I gotta tell ya that Eli looked good through the first part of the game because the Pats were only sending the 3 down lineman. So he never took a whole lot of pressure.
* What gets me is that if the Pats were dropping 8 guys why couldn't they do better defending the pass?!
When the Pats decided to bring more heat later in the game, Manning started looking ordinary again.

*I know that sounds whiny and ungrateful but I had to get that off my chest.:)

Wilfork took cheap shots at knees?

Coughlin has minimal control of that team which is odd because he's always been known as a disciplinarian

Ever see Vrable level Dallas Clark over the middle?? Moss got leveled, it's football, it happens. Ball was out. You can claim "helmet to helmet", but honestly, unless you knock a dude out, they just don't call it. There are so many helmet to helmets during the course of a game, there are too many to count. Be thankful he got up and continued to play.

16-0...pretty good form

This would have to be one of the only things that could set Harrison off like that.

Makes sense. Plaxico plays dirty, was trying to injure Rodney.
