The fact that Moss dropped the pass on the play before made it all the more amazing... yet it was so predictable. I said to my wife after it, "he'll throw right back to Moss now". He always does.

Then all hell broke loose when he scored the TD... man!!!!

As a Bronco fan i love seeing the relentless execution of your offense. I loved the call to go right back to Moss after his drop. Shanahan would have probably tried to run it and get conservative. I just love the kill switch attitude your team has.

It was a nice moment, but at least for me it is not even near one of the greatest plays in NFL history.

Well the call was actually to get Wes the ball for a 1st, but they trapped him and Brady read it and found Moss. The play was designed for Moss to just clear out, but thankfully it ended up as the record breaker. So thanks to the Giants for that play being possible.

I love how we go for it on 4th down.

It's like we're playing Madden 08 or something.

I acually think Collingsworth got it right on NFLN. Madison pulled up lame on the deep pass and they saw the single and Moss blew him up. Awesome play.

It was a beautiful play, perfectly thrown, perfectly caught, yadda yadda yadda. And it was definitely ballsy in an awesome way to throw it right back to Moss after they flubbed the play before. I just think it is spectacularly special that both their records hinged on one pass so that the two players who played as the ultimate team all season could experience putting their names in the record books at the same moment. To me, thats what made it such a ballin' play.

Unfortunately when Moss isn't the the primary receiver Moss dogs it... that could have been a big play instead of a drive and game-killing incomplete. Too bad the critics were right about him.

I didn't see that play coming. I figured they would be content with another first down.

It is the best play of the year IMO. But it was not meaningful enough to be an all time play, IMO. Just a wonderful Pats memory...

Yes......one of greatest plays ever.....

So they say...

the best moment of that play was when they showed the lineman and Brady. the fat guys never get the credit. linemen win football games. GO PATS!!

:) Yeah, it was like Moss was saying this touchdown is for you, Jaws.
For those who didn't catch Moss's press conference, he said the play was designed to go to Wes Welker but they double covered Welker (trapped him in an attempt to intercept) and Brady read and threw it to Moss instead.

i know i'll remember that play forever.. maybe moreso than any other single play besides adam V's big kicks in 2001 and the 'tuck'

I think it was the defining moment of what has been a historic regular season. Things don't work out right away, so they go right back at it and break two records with one catch. Randy has been unbeliveable with his hussle and blocking on plays where the ball isn't going to him and Brady is... Brady.

Enjoy the next few days, and then finish the fight. :rocker:

It was a great moment. The fact that it was meaningful in the sense that it wasn't garbage time or anything, but the play that put the team ahead to stay was also just fantastic.

Am I the only one who thought Randy could have caught the pass before pretty easily if he hadn't been thinking touchdown? Seemed easy to dive for it. Well, not "easy" -- I couldn't do it. But I mean relatively easy for an NFL caliber receiver.
