A couple of years ago there was a thread or 2 about various bowl games and which players were coming out from each team and basically who to watch for in the games from a draft scouting perspective.

Has anyone thought about putting together something like this for this years bowl games ???

UNfortunately that ends with the 28th....any new updates on who to watch today as possible Pats draftees???

Here's a link to today's schedule.

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/scoreboard.

6 games today.

Outback Bowl Wisconsin vs Tennessee. I see a snoozer. Not, unlike the PSU/Tennessee game last year. Wisconsin bores me to tears. I know it has worked for them in the big and slow. I mean Big 10. But, running game, punting and field position doesn't thrill me. Sorry for rant. Check out the Cotton Bowl for some exciting football.

A couple of def. players to keep an eye on are underclassmen. J.Mayo - ILB - Tennessee. Similiar to J.Beason. J.Ikegwuono - CB - Wisconsin. Both could help us. Not much in seniors. Tennessee has qb Ainge and G/T E.Young. Wisky has a dl N.Hayden.

Cotton Bowl Mizzou vs Arkansas

My pick for the best game of the day. I'll take Mizzou 42-41.

Arkansas. We all know about DMAC. IMO best player in the country. The other rb F.Jones is very good too. Only a junior. A couple of sr's are a big wr. M.Monk has been hampered by injuries but is 6'6". And, a DT M.Harrison.

Mizzou. I love their jr. qb. I don't think he's a great pro prospect. But, he's a helluva college player. C.Danies. A couple of TE's. M.Rucker - SR. Mike Rucker's little brother. C.Coffman - Jr. Te. Mizzou has a super Frosh. J.Maclin. Triple threat wr/rb/returner. One of the more exciting players in the country.
Mizzou has an unheraled safety who's had a decent season. Maybe, mid-round possibility. William Moore only a junior. But, a 4th year one I believe. Good C Prospect too. A.Spieker.

I'll add some reports on other games later.

Thanks Pats PA, good info, Mayo is touted as being very good. I wonder if he can gain 10-15 pounds. I started a list of all the bowl games and players to watch but ran out of steam. No time for bowl games this year, except for the BCS. If Laurinaitis and Gholston stay in school the LB class takes a big hit.

some good prospects to watch out for in the Illinois-USC matchup

-Rashard Mendhall: complete RB..fast..strong. fun to watch
-Rey Maulagua - hard hitting LB with good size form USC
-Keith Rivers - maybe the most athletic LB in draft but undersized @ 230 if not lower
-Sam Baker: maybe an overrated prospect but a good college tackle for USC
-Fred Davis: 1 of the top TEs in draft for USC
-Terrelle Thomas: physical corner for USC

future prospects that might be enjoyable to watch
-Joe McKnight..maybe the 2nd coming of Reggie Bush. fun to watch
-Taylor Mays: some compared him to Sean Taylor..big man at 6"3 225 with great speed(from what im hearing)

Sam Baker is a 3 year starter at Left Tackle, for USC, not a guard, no?
