Re: The time has come...

Sunday, January 13
  • AFC Divisional Game, CBS, 1 PM[4]

This isn't completely certain... the NFL press release which is linked from Wikipedia actually says "CBS or FOX" for both 1 PM and 4:30 PM games. It will probably be as you say, but they haven't announced it.

This is a case where Wikipedia is nicely footnoted with references but if you check the reference you find Wikipedia is actually wrong.

Re: The time has come...

Saturday evening game for me would be a 'dysaster' (start 2 a.m. Sunday night here) but of course i will be in front of the tv anyway

Re: The time has come...

I think the networks will be having knife fights over who gets the Pats.

Steelers at home against the Jaguars: Winner Jaguars - Upset

Colts at home against the Chargers: Chargers win - Upset

Pats at home against the Jaguars: Patriots win

Pats at home against the Chargers: Patriots win AFCCG

NFC

Season Record 19-0. Regular season victory streak All time 19. Consecutive Victory streak All time 22. Most points scored All time. Fewest points allowed 2007. Biggest Point differential All time. Best Team All time.

Great, this is perfect for my viewing pleasure. Thanks for the info.

good for you; bad for me

it looks like the Pats will play in the 'real night' here in Europe...

Re: The time has come...

I really hope we get the Saturday night game on the 12th.

The AFCCG being at 3:00* is good for my travel plans, as I'll be able to get a good night's sleep before catching the red eye back on Monday morning.

*should we be fortunate enough to win the AFCD game, etc.

Going conservative on us? But yeah, you never know.

No, I'm scared that I'm going to jinx things. I was at the Indy game last January, and then got a Colvin jersey on Thanksgiving, only to see him IR'd the next week.

I'm grasping that Brady-to-Gaff in Baltimore when I was there ended my jinxitude. I have plane tickets and hotel reservations for that weekend, so I really, really am hoping I haven't jinxed things.

Extra precautions to appease the karma gods, not being conservative.

I fear I might have been involved in a Colts AFCCG jinx last season. We had a video shoot scheduled potentially for the week after the Super Bowl, my boss often has the crew travel on Sundays since its cheaper, I gave him a not so subtle reminder that I'd sooner quit my job than miss the Super Bowl, citing that the Patriots would likely be in it. That's jinx-potential right there  I shan't be making such comments again this year.

I screwed up and went with a buddy of mine who is more of a passive fan. I almost killed him at halftime when he called Marriott to make our Super Bowl reservations. I am not telling him I am going to the game in January. :enranged: :enranged:

I agree with most of this, including our facing the Jags, except that the Colts beat the Chargers 31-14. I'm not prepared to predict who wins if we face the Colts.

What date and time for the playoffs

I know its a couple of weeks away but what time do you think the pats will be hosting the AFC Divisional game?

Saturday or Sunday?? And what time?

Obviously the schedule hasn't been announced, but my guess is that they will play on Saturday (bigger tv audience), and the game will probably start in the 7-8pm range.
