When you guys played the Colts throughout the years? I was just reading this off the Saints MB:

...New Orleans’ repair job should start with the secondary. The Saints handed a four-year, $15.6 million contract to CB Jason David in the offseason, which looks like an awful decision in retrospect. David has been beaten short, deep and about every other way, although he has kept the starting job to this point. Payton and the front office will have to band together and do a better job of evaluating prospective secondary suitors this time.

More athleticism on the interior of the defensive line and at linebacker should be the next items on the list. Whether it’s through free agency or the draft, the Saints have to find a playmaker or a player that quickly turn into one at those positions.

Wow Michael. Your sig is certainly something to hang your hat on. Whew - the Bills, Dolphins and Jets.

Yeah feel free to ignore the goose egg in the loss column, and the first ever 15-0 team.

I think you read it wrong. It's meant to laugh at those teams not add on to the Pat's total awesomeness.

I think I could catch a pass on him to be perfectly honest...

Then again I am 6'3''

Jason David covers like Larry David.

Regards,
Chris

He covered like Paris Hilton's dress. Every time he went up, there was nothing underneath....... An easy shot at the end zone, so to speak.

he was just good enough so that some dumbass team would overpay for him

If your serious, here's my opinion.

He is okay in a cover two where you have help over the top from a safety. He is smallish/short, he will bite on play action or double moves, okay recovery speed, decent reaction time, very far from a cover corner. Will support the run, again in a zone type scheme, but not big so he struggles bringing down a back in the open field by himself.

He was good "enough" for the Colts and how they play with a front four that can pressure a QB to limit time to throw. He rarely gave up the big play and I always thought of him as an overacheiver. Again you can't put him out on an island and say cover this guy, won't happen consistently.

Reggie Wayne took him to the woodshed in the season opener against the Colts this year.

Stop with the sugar coating! Jason David just plain sucks and it's a minor miracle the Colts won the Super Bowl with that clown on the Indianapolis roster last season.

FYI - There is a search feature for this board:)

I don't know what the Saints were thinking he could do for him with their defense. He is terrible with them. Man coverage? I knew it would not work out either.

Jason David = Dwayne Starks redeux
