Giving this some thought, I think the team I'd most like the Pats to draw in the first round are the Jaquars. Couple of reasons. First the Pats have already played, potentially, ever other playoff team in the AFC, depending on how Cleveland/Tenn shakes out. I don't even see Tennessee as a challenge, although revenge for last year's injury to Harrison would be fun. But I'd rather get to a new team that beat, say, Pittsburgh again.

The ideal scenario would be Jacksonville to romp over Pittsburgh and have everyone declare Jax as the team on the rise/team to beat/watch out Pats. I think the Pats would then win by 30, and that would add to the Pats' aura. Who do you want Round one?

The Jags don't pose any more of a threat than SD or Pittsburgh, but hype suggests that they are primed to beat NE. This will only help the Pats IMO because their secondary is WEAK.

I know it's not likely to happen because of the seeding, but I want the Chargers. Listening to those fools leading up to the game and then watching LT cry AGAIN after is very fulfilling.

chargers especially seeing the bad attitude towards cutler in the monday night game.

some people think Jacksonville will defeat NE in the play off on the ESPN radio. I want to see this game.

The Jags are my 1st choice. That team with that coach under playoff pressure, it won't even be close. Pats would steamroll that team and light up their secondary like a power plant. Pats 35 Jags 13.

The team that scares me is SD, their confidence right now is thru the roof and they would love nothing more to come in to our house and pay us back. Thankfully, it looks like they can take their frustrations out on the Colts. Best case scenario sees the Titans coming here and the Jags going to Indy, how sweet would that be?

Jags 31 Indy 27
Pats 42 Tenn 10

Make the plane reservations to Arizona.

Wild Card Weekend
Tenn over SD
Jax over Pitt

Then

we beat Tenn
Indy beats Jax

We beat Indy

ine have been on record for a couple weeks now and can all still come true

WC
Cleve over Pitt
Jax over SD

NE over Cleve
Jax over Indy

Ne over Jax

Ne over Dallas

I want SD. bad.

I thought SD had the #3 seed, correct? Which would make it impossible to play them in the first round. I could be wrong though. I'd still prefer Jax in the first round (first round for the Pats, that is). Beating the Chargers would be fun after that, though--something very satisfying about smacking that team down over and over.

I want to see Pats defeat a healthy Colt during play off.

If we beat Tenn and Jax we will have beaten all the AFCE playoff teams. Somehow, this adds to the perfect record. and then give us GB!

Your scenario is as good as any, as that would eliminate either the Chargers or Colts in their playoff game, after the Chargers advance. I could even see the Chargers beating the Colts in the RCA Dome with weather so much like So Cal. Even if they don't, they will physically beat up the weary and tiny Colts.

If they do vanquish the Colts, they will have been on the road for two weeks coming in to cold Foxboro.

I suspect the Packers will advance to the SuperBowl in the minor league, and its payback time for 1996. Plus beating them will insure that the Pats played and beat every single Team in the top ten of Sagarin's power ratings at End of Season...
:rocker:

Be careful what you wish for people.

I'll be saying the same thing every thread about this:

Steelers or Browns in the Divisional Round.
Colts in the Championship Game.
Packers in the Super Bowl.

Would be my dream scenario because each of those teams has been responsible for a postseason loss that at least one player on this roster played in.

I want 19-0. I want all the records. And I want a revenge tour all the way to the Lombardi Trophy ceremony.

I don't want to play Tenn...we'd destroy them, but they play dirty and I'd rather not expose our players to unnecessary injury risk.

yup, i want JAX as well....first round...

i dont think the colts are in any shape to challenge the pats, especially with freeney out....

their offense does not scare me, not at this point, and their defense will really get lit up i believe the second time around, HA HA

but i want to see the jax pats game...

then i wouldnt mind beating either indy, or SD in the AFCCG, if we have to play PIT or TEN in the champ game though, it would kinda suck, can u imagine wut a blowout game it would be?

too bad we wont get to play three times in the AFC playoffs, so we could face all three, Jax, SD and Indy

I want to hear him say "We would beat them 7/10 times."

We will know which team Pats face after this Sat.?
