Do you think Moss will stay here after this year?

He likes BB, Tom, and the rest of the team. And he seems to be enjoying it here, as a whole (though how can you not? we've won every game).

Thoughts?

If the Pats make him a reasonable offer - and I don't think it has to match what he'd make somewhere else, but it has to be reasonable - I think he'll stay.

Randy will finish his career with the greatest team and QB of all time, he's going no where. Kraft opens up the checkbook for the octopus, name your price Randy !!!!!!!

I would be extremely shocked if a deal didn't get done. Have we read one single report saying that it won't? This Brady-Moss combination loves itself and shall continue hopefully the rest of their careers.

I have a feeling he will be back.

Randy loves winning, and there's no reason to believe that next years team won't win the division again.

Randy seems to be thrilled playing here and playing for Belichick and with Brady.

Something tells me he gets a deal done.

It'll all come down to $$. There is no telling what will happen when the season is over. Moss has been a solid citizen this year, but his history can't be ignored. The question is, will some team offer his crazy money in the offseason, and how willing are the Patriots to pay him? I've read/heard some talk about a deal looking something like the one Terrell Owens got in Dallas. That deal was something like 3 years and $25 million. Will that do it for Moss? Moss is younger than TO, and is having a record year, so who knows.

I doubt if it goes down like that but I am fairly confident that Randy will be here long term, eventually.
Stallworth will probably be the odd man out.
Which is a shame but we got to stay under the cap.

I disagree, RW. Randy has already indicated the cash is not important.
He's got plenty.
He loves the team, TB and even the coach(take that Tom Jackson).
He's staying.

Ditto, he's seen the other side ( read Oakland in alosing environment with no QB....I think he stays long term. If Stallworth is odd man out, I hope Gaffney resigns keeping, Moss, Welker, Gaffney, Jackson, Washington ( if only for ST) and ???

The only thing that worries me is if another top team offers him a huge contract. What good teams might make a big move for him? The Colts and Boys won't, but what about teams like GB, SD, Pits, Jax, etc. If they offer him a huge contract, I might be a little worried.

Again, I doubt Moss wants to leave the Brady zone. This is a perfect situation for him, I really think he gets a good deal and stays.

How do u know the colts won't? especially if the pats go on and win it all.:rocker:

Money can't buy you love. Moss knows that all too well. He's been eviscerated in the media for not wanting to kill himself trying to carry a dysfunctional team on his back - twice. Favre will retire sooner than later, Rivers is a putz, the Steelers are the picture in the encyclopedia next to the definition of cheap, and while Garrard is a nice QB for a former backup, the JAGS are a franchise that struggles to maintain it's base and it's grocery shopper and HC butt heads over players like Leftwich while failing to best Manning and his walking wounded offense in their own division.

They won't insult him with their offer, and he won't expect them to upset their entire salary structure with it either. Randy is firmly back on the road to Canton, and he wants that - as well as he wants to be appreciated not just as a freak talent to be managed but a real leader and solid teamate on a team that has no shortage of either. He wants the real respect from guys whose opinion matters and he values, and not the phony $$$$-respect (from some desperate GM who will again knife him in the back if other things beyond his control don't work out) kind.

i think pats offer Randy a reasonable amount of money, 7/8 a year for 3/4 yrs, and Randy will take it pretty fast

stallworth and kelley are gone....we resign gaffney, so we have moss, gaffney, welker and chad for next season....eitehr way u cut it, it is one heck of a reciever corps, especially if chad develops

Marvin and Reggie's cap hits say they won't. They have to get Sanders and Clark and a few others extended and deal with Freeney's backloaded deal while hoping he's good as new in less than a year. Besides, Polian is really big FA signing adverse, and the few times he's stuck his toes in that pool he's been bit, so for him that just underscores the value in being adverse. He's still paying for Simon who ended up costing him a million per game actually played.

Hasn't all report that Randy is falling in love with the Boston area and it's fans...It seeems the Tom abd Randy are joined at the hip this year...Looks like TB is looking to go to RM 1st look to throw too.....

Stallworth's deal can be managed pretty reasonably so I'm not at all convinced he goes. Watched the Dallas game again last night courtesy of NFLN, and when they throw to him he is special. He could be a #1 here opposite Gaffney and with Welker if Moss pulled a hammy. Not sure anyone else on the roster could do that without it really hurting Tommy's production. I do think Washington is gone unless Gaffney desides to seek the highest bidder or they really aren't as high as some of you on CJ's potential development. It really comes down to how much BB values his high octane offense, and I think he really, really likes having one...

I'm overly confident that Moss re up's with us.
Why you ask?
Before the trade was even in the works Randy had stated that Tom Brady was his favorite QB in the NFL.
Period that should be enough right there in it's self.
Then you have the Hall of Fame Coach, excellent supporting staff, winning team.
Everyone on the team respects Randy for what he does on and off the field.
Have openly endorsed him many many of times.
Is virgin tight with Tom, Has Belichicks respect to openly commend him with in it's self is a bit of a rarity.
Can actually attain best wide receiver status if he has 3 or 4 more all pro years, never mind the canton nomination if he surpasses the record that's a given.
Seems happy as I can ever remember him being.
Has a good friend in our very own Celtics Mr. Garnett.
Has made enough of money over the years and oh yeah played for one of the worst joke of an offenses the last 2 years with the Jokeland Raidaz.
Has openly stated i'm a New England Patriot what more could I want?
That actually almost made me tear up a little after hearing that. Did I mention that Tom would more than likely chain himself to the goal posts if the front office can't get the deal done.
Not to mention we have a franchise tag as a desperate measure so there is no way I repeat no way in God's green earth he is a Colt next year no matter the circumstance.
I stand by that 100 percent!
