If Tennessee loses to the Colts next week, the Browns will clinch a playoff spot. The Browns don't even have to win. They just need the Titans to lose.
What do you think? Do the Colts care?

I know we can whip the Titans if we played them but I believe they are a CHIPPY tean and would love to see the Browns make the playoffs. I don't like Jeff Fisher either.

i think dungy takes the last games like belichick now. he got burned a few years in a row for resting guys too much with a first round bye. if i remember correctly, last year he barely rested them at all.

Well if you're Indy, does rest outweight familiarity from your division opponents in the playoffs?

I don't think the Colts will care and Jim Sorgi will be out there in the 2nd series.

the titans might beat up the colts a bit.

Tennesee will have to beat Jim Sorgi after the first series. This will likely be a blowout in favor of Tennesee. I would bet money on it.

In fact I would be surprised if the Colts are home dogs for this one.

Dungy might play the starting O line and receivers quite a bit, just out of necessity. Other than that, its a preaseason type game for the Colts

The Titans have a good shot, but Dungy isn't going to want to rest his team for three weeks, so I think for most of the game his team will play tough. The Titans might have a chance to win against second stringers in the fourth quarter.

Your logic is right, but Dungy doesn't believe that resting them had anything to do with them struggling, historically.

So he'll rest most everyone, at least after the first half, imo.

Nah. They'll lose to the Colts like that lost the finale last year to the Pats. They just aint ready for prime time.

I think Fisher is going to put a "bounty" on someone in that Colts lineup and have his guys try to injure him for the rest of the season. The Titans are a chippy team, and they're not afraid to play dirty, as witnessed by Harrison's season ending injury around this time last year. I don't wish harm on the Colts, but they will at least come out of the game somewhat battered and roughed up physically.

As for who will win? The Colts SHOULD win since the Titans offense is relatively tepid. Defense and weather can really turn things around though, as you probably saw in the Bears upset of the Packers.

I heard Dungy say the most Manning will play is the first half. I assume it'll be the same for other starters. Titans probably win.

Why would he do that? The only way the Titans could play the Colts again would be in the AFCCG.

It would probably be in the Colts best interests that the Titans get in.

The Chargers are going to be going to Indy in the divisional round. If I'm Indy, I'd rather they be coming in off a win against the physical, some would say dirty Titans than off a win over the defensively challenged Browns. There is a much greater chance SD will be beaten up and worn down by Tennesee.

there would be nothing better than getting the titans at home in the divisional round, and jax vs indy. that right there is the ideal situation

colts will defeat titans.

colts and pats will be an interesting game.

if titans get in, it will be titans vs san diego and jax vs pitt. if titans pull the upset and jax kills pitt, we will get the titans and indy gets jax. potentially we could get jax in the championship game. this is the scenario i want. of course, there are all kinds of things that can happen

I think Dungy will fully rest his starters.
He seems proud to have 3 teams in his division making the playoffs, and his team swept the division.

I read that the starters are playing for a half...if I was dungy I would play them in the 2nd half to see if we can catch up..

I am not convinced that the Titans can win this game even with PM on the sidelines.

If Indy takes all their starting defense off the field then the Titans have a chance because the Titans offense really sucks if Indy leaves most of its starting defense in the game the Titans will not score enough pts to win.

The Titans vs Chargers will be a very interesting game to watch. There is already bad blood between the 2 teams.I remember Merriman saying he thought Jeff Fischer told a Titan player to go after his knees a few weeks ago.The Titans could very well upset the Chargers.
