Hey, as fast as this place declares picks a bust, this is the next logical step. :D

An announcement to all Patsfans

Patsfan member "Fixit" has now been cut as an official member of the Patsfans.com New England Patriots Fan Forum for needlessly posting another "Merriweather" thread.

He was claimed on waivers by the Miami Dolphins "Phins.com" Discussion forum and can now be reached there, where he is offering his opinions regarding the chances of the Dolphins winning the Super Bowl in 2008.

Uh, yeah. That's exactly what I was doing. I was most certainly not making fun of all of the "Maroney/Meriweather is a bust" threads.

Also, I bothered to spell Meriweather's name right.

But I'm sure you were just testing me, being as awesomely knowledgeable as you are.

how did bb and pioli manage to screw up a top ten pick? they even overpaid for the bum..d%#*!@t, can we please get some draft picks that turn out not to be busts please? the 08 second rounder hasnt been all that good either. i havent seen him all year!

How do you know he wasn't being ironical by intentionally spelling Meriweather's name wrong? It is commonly done in said threads...

Anyway, back to the topic: There is NO way the guy makes this team.

Let's face it, the guy's done nothing. Nothing.

I hate to say it, El Busto!!!

who's Merrymother?:D:

I'm sure he had his reasons. I'm just glad I caught it, even though I know nothing about American professional tackle football.

Are any other members of 'The Ginn Family' graduating from college football this spring?

This is the National Football League.

I totally agree with Fixit. I can guarantee that I will be able to name somebody who was still on the board when we picked whoever we picked, who will have a better first season than whoever we pick.

Also, if our pick does really well doing whatever he does, I bet the team he is playing against when he does best, will be the worst at defending what he does, or is notorious for making mistakes against what he defends against (if he is a defensive player.)

The chances are very low, for instance, that if our pick is involved in the run game, that he will do better against the best run D in the league. He will probably pick on bad run Ds. And that doesn't help us.

And if our pick is a DB, and he intercepts a guy that throws 15 ints a year, that's all well and good, but I bet he intercepts that guy, and not a guy that throws 2 picks a year.

Just like Tom Brady, that bust that throws more TDs against teams with bad secondaries.

I just really wish our FO would get it together and draft that guy who will still have been left on the board, when we draft that guy we will have drafted, because in retrospect a couple years from now it will be so obvious that he was the better choice. At least, until their production flip flops in year 3. But by then, somebody else would have been a better choice.

I mean, it's almost a given that this guy will be a washout. Can't we fire those clowns in the FO?

That punter we picked was the biggest bust in NFL history!

how did bb and pioli manage to screw up a top ten pick?

Probably the Ditka-esque move of trading our entire draft to the Dolphins so we could pick McFadden wasn't wise.

That's why the idiots are only going to win 4 super bowls from 2001-2007. As fans, we deserve better

There's no way the Pats #1 makes this team.

He's made of glass. Just can't stay on the field. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen him out there.

Maybe we can trade our #1 for - uh - a digital video camera. Oh wait - been there done that - I get it.
