I am watching Brady try and get the ball to Moss in situations where others are open and throwing to Moss is not the best read. I believe that Brady feels a certain amount of pressure to help Moss break Rice's record.

I also believe that after next week's game this will not be an issue anymore.

Its a new season after the Giants game and Brady will not be forcing throws to Moss.

Anyone agree?

I agree Tom wants to break the TD pass record as well as help Randy get the TD receptions record.

Next week at the Giants will be ridiculous, I bet every TD attempt by Tom will be for Randy.

Just 1 more for each to tie, 2 for each to break.

So if Brady's 50th TD pass is Moss's 23rd TD catch, who gets to take the ball home?

:)

So the Giants triple team Moss?

Brady will not get Moss his record. The Giants gameplan will be to cover Moss.

Moss will be covered like a blanket. I hope Brady does not give up the win in an attempt to get Moss 2 TD's.

Apparently neither of you grasp the concept of matchups and game planning. We had no TE's today, we got this far with Brady and Moss beating double and triple teams - although some of you have developed selective memory where the first 9-10 W's are concerned.

There is a world of difference between them not doing what you want (which is essentially execute a positive play on every snap) and not doing what BB wants. If he had a problem with the offense, it would have been dealt with by now. This is his offense, he assembled it, and he revels in it even if you don't. The biggest problem Moss and Brady are having lately is getting an idiot zebra to call PI when it's actually warranted. And getting sufficient pass blocking without any TE's. They were rushing 3 and 4 and doubling Welker for god sakes. When a team is 15-0 they are not going to go away from what got them there. As Tom said in his presser tonight, those plays look aweful good when Randy catches them and apparently not so good when he doesn't.

I guess you'd all be happier if Maroney fell down on the 1 and Tom got 49 with a pass to Bingo. What a bunch of miserable whiners...

Uh, this has been every team's gameplan...

If I am the Giants coach I triple Randy next week. Brady will waste at least 12offensive plays trying to get him the ball. I hope he does enough with the rest of his offensive plays to win the game.

And I don't agree that this game is like the other 15 games. Moss either gets 2 TD's and breaks the record or he dosen't.

I care more about scoring, then who does the scoring. When we had first and goal, I was expecting them to just pound it in and I would have been perfectly fine with that.

There is a major problem with that though. If you do constantly triple Moss, the Pats will single Moss on one side and put 3 WR on the other. After we easily march down the field a few times, they will have to take some pressure off Moss and focus on the entire team. Otherwise, they would lose by 50. I'm sure a team would rather get a chance to win the game than focus on preventing them from breaking a record that has no effect on the Giants...

Yep..they did this against the Eagles..and if I remember Welker abused them in the slot.

The only problem with this is that Brady is NOT THROWING THE BALL TO OPEN RECEIVERS when Moss is double/triple covered so DEFENSES will continue to ignore those receivers because they know that Brady will not throw to them. A perfect example was the J. Allen interception/breakup. Allen didn't bite on Brady's pumpfake because he has probably seen film of Brady's utter obsession with throwing to Moss. Brady, even after seeing that Allen didn't bite, still refused to throw it to Gaffney who had beaten his man and was open to the left/top while Moss while behind his man had a much tighter window for Brady to try to force the ball into AND Allen was shading to that side. A smarter QB (e.g. Manning) would have pumped to Moss and then thrown to Gaffney, or just thrown to GAffney anyway. Instead, Brady kills the drive with a bad decision.

When was the last time the Pats had a 10 play scoring drive? The Pats have no patient on offense as of late and seem to need every play to gain 10 yards at a minimum. So, Maroney runs for 2 yards, let's pull him and go five wide.

Incredibly frustrating because it simply makes it easier for the opposing defense.

That is the most ignorant ******* thing I have read on this board. You truly are a dumbass.

I'm sure old Tom is looking at the game film tonight saying Madison ignore Stallworth he isn't going to catch the ball, if you line up on him you owe me 50! And that goes for you McQuarters; and all you LB's that might be manned up on Welker!

Now Ross you and two or three of your buddies have to cover Moss because that is the only guy that Tom Brady throws to, you know that right?

Seriously that is by far the ******* dumbest thing I have read on this board!

Congratulations. :rocker:

I agree after these records are broken,or after the Giants game there won't be the same urgancy for Brady to throw to Moss. I think Brady is also looking at the TD record and thinks Moss is his best option. Its a symbiotic relationship.

And for what ever reason I think the pressure to break the undefeated record will subside a little. Its a new season, the long 16 game run will be behind them. It will be down to a three game winning streak mentaly 3 seems a lot less daughnting then 16,plus they don't play the first week. I know its a crazy thought but its just my opinion/gut feeling.

After reading articles on scouting, etc, I don't think we really can invest anything into the second half. The Patriots don't want to show scouts anything in these last few games. I have a feeling Brady and the Pats might be doing this on purpose. I could be wrong, but I think Brady on the coaching staff is smarter than that.

They'll each have visitation rights. And take turns bringing the ball home for two weeks in the summer. :D

I'm disappointed in you. You have been here long enough to know that isn't nearly the dumbest thing PF has ever said. His all time dumbest was that Brady was regressing and Bulger would be a better choice to QB this team.

geez...thanx a lot...I just puked in my mouth:rofl:

Sorry, I missed that one.:(
