That's great to see!

NSA? VJC? Frontseven?

He was smooth as glass on those two runs.

your gonna hear "its only Miami" from the Maroney haters..yet they expect him to do that against Ravens/Eagles/Steelers..

I'm no Maroney hater but this is "only" Miami (last ranked rush D in the league) with a gimpy Taylor.

However, those runs were great to see! He isn't dancing around and he's hitting the hole with authority. Love it!

He would break a lot more of those runs if he was mroe decisive against the better teams. When he hits the hole with authority, he usually gains a nice chunk of yards. It's all that ballernia crap he does in the backfield that blows his plays up.

theres a reason LT, Parker and other good backs got shutdown by those Ds as did Maroney.

What ballerina stuff? He has hit the holes decisively mostly all season. There have been cases of good run defenses plugging the holes and missed blocks forcing Maroney to dance around a tackle in the backfield. But he hasn't unnecessarily danced behind the line this year, he's been a lot more decisive all year. As evidenced by his 4+ YPC without any long runs up until today. He has consistently gotten positive yardage.

Maroney has done good to hit the holes with enthusiasm. The only "bad" run, where he lost yardage, was because Hochstein and Kaczur couldn't hold off Taylor.

Against the #32 ranked run D. Maroney's having a great day, although on that one TD run, he went through untouched. Credit the blocking on that TD play. Or is it only fashionable to blame the OL when Maroney struggled and not give credit to them when they manhandle the Fins? I think the run blocking is looking just fine. Having a healthy run game will be vital for the playoffs.

I have been one who has been criticizing Maroney. He has played well in the past two games. Great too see. Hope he keeps it up.

blocking is what we've needed on the runs. the Jaguars are amazing at it and thats why Fred and Maurice are dominant

Sorry, E_money, but Maroney hasn't hit the hole decisively this year with any regularity.. He's done better than last year, but, through the last game, he would hitch his stride right as he got to the line. It sucked a lot of his momentum and allowe him to be an easier tackle.

You tell us.. YOU are one of the few who is always blaming Maroney and never the O-line.

Yes, the O-line is doing very well. Except for the 1 play where Taylor collapsed Kaczur and Hochstein.

And Maroney has run as expected.

No you see you cannot credit the OL for the blocking because you refuse to blame the OL when they don't block well. You cannot have it both ways.

Bottom line is, YOU personally said that Maroney could NOT rush for 100+ against the jets and fins. He has done that, now eat some crow and stop trying to justify your dislike for Maroney, THANKS.

BTW, we've had a healthy run game all year. And one of the reasons we still have a healthy run game is because they haven't been used unnecessarily, especially after Morris went down.

Of course, I still hope for good enough weather to pass in effectively because well we have Tom Brady and company.

Not hitting the hole with precise power isn't the same as being a ballerina behind the line. He has hit the hold and at times studdered after hitting it. He's not perfect and still has a way to go, but I think people just exaggerate on his "dancing". He has regularly gotten positive yardage without large runs. If he was consistently dancing BEHIND the line he wouldn't be getting positive yardage. He's not where he could be with the cutting and decision making, but he's a lot better off than what some make him out to be.

He's made o' glass.

Hit the hole pretty well today. Maybe it's the hole, not the hit?

It hasn't just been two games, which is what you and some other posters can't seem to understand.

Week 3 vs Bills = 103 yards rushing on 19 carries (5.4 avg).
Week 8 vs Redskins = 112 total yards
Week 13 vs Ravens = 123 total yards
Week 15 vs Jets = 104 yards rushing
and this week he's already got 111 yards rushing on just 4 carries.

So, that's five games this season where Maroney's accounted for over 100 yards of offense.

Oh, and that was very good blocking on that 59 yard TD run. It's nice to see such good blocks being made, as their blocking has been off at different points this season.
