That from the New York Times? No surprise there.

I think it's a nice piece of fantasy. It tells you the magnitude of what the patriots are trying to do. the author invokes powerful images of myth to do it justice. enjoy people. these are moments for the ages.

It's a stupid editorial ... a filler really.

Wow! Somebody is having twisted fantasies about the Pats losing to the ghosts of the past. WTF?

Not in Foxboro. Not where Dolphins go to die...

FWIW I didn't read it as an anti-Pats rant, just a fantasia on the old Dolphins' fading hopes of holding onto the glory. Pretty silly, but not a big "hater" deal.

Fantasy ...... just like most else you'll read in the New York Times.

R

Megadittos. Eff the New York Crimes.

We drove through NYC from Baltimore to MA last weekend. What an armpit.

Is he having a flashback from some 70s acid trip? That's something you'd expect from some blogger and not from a writer at the NY Times.....actually.....nevermind. This is pretty much par for the course.

Patchick is right, it's about the fading glory of the 1972 Dolphins. It's a sentimental piece marking the likely end of era. That's why what the Pats might do is such a big deal.

didnt mention anything about mercury morris bumping a couple lines before the game... strange.

man, are those nyers praying we don't break that record. what a bunch of losers.

Some of you guys need to calm down and read between the lines. Not everything written is anti-patriots. All he's saying, in far to many words, is that it's going to take a miracle for Miami to win today.

It's not a anti-Pats article at all.

I agree, seems to be more about the fantasy world of the '72 Dolphins than it does about the Patriots..

1) I agree with you on the intent of the article

2) It's NOT an "article". It is a New York Times Sunday Editorial.

Yes, and we could do without the "megadittos" as well. Let's not come off like a bunch of mouth breathers, people.

Or to look at this game realistically, the only team that can beat the Patriots today is the Patriots.

Not bad, I was just suprised that there was snow and lightning at the same time.

An interesting editorial fantasy that simply illustrates the fear and envy that the non-Patriots world has for this historic team. It's also just about as fact based as the typical NY Times editorial.

LOL, you drove from Baltimore and you call NYC an armpit. That is fu..ing hysterical.
