When Bill Belichick was asked at halftime, who are the leaders on the team,he answered:

"every one who owns a jersey, they're all shareholders in the team's success".

.......this guy is the Bill Gates of professional sports,IMO

Replicas count, or only authentic?

Thats one of my favorite quotes from Belichick...speaks volumes of the accountability he instills.

When asked in the abbreviated interview who the team leaders were, Belichick resisted the easy answer by responding that all 53 players and coaches have an equal shareholder input to the team value. It is interesting that BB consistently states that the head coach and all other coaches, as well as the players, need to correct and improve their performance to be were they want to be.

Great quote. The reality is, however, that there is a serious pecking order and he counts heavily on certain veterans for leadership and to instill discipline.

Much like Parcells.

Can someone recap his interview? I was at work and missed it.

They only showed a minute of it - the whole thing is on next Saturday's pregame.

I agree, but he is also saying that a team leader can be a #43 ranked player on a 53 team roster like Kelley Washington, who turns a game to your favor with a special teams play, no different from the contributions, on and off the field, from one of their many Pro Bowl caliber players.

That's right that's why he gives out the black practice player of the week jersey's ... leadership by example to remind them of where they once came from. I doubt he leaves any stone unturned .. and if he does he institutes that also i bet. many smart people act smart .. he acts like a student and we reap the benefits ... oh the withdrawel when he gives it up.

Sounds great.

Rookies aren't leaders on the Pats, however. He made a fine play.

Don't insult Belichick like this again...

Loved the quote, but the idiotic announcers.. Faulk?? Said cannot wait to hear it, as he knows nothing about Belichick aside from the rude press conferences that he holds.. WTF are these guys tools or what.. We beat the crap out of you Marshall, you know what this guy is about.. yea that will help the ratings. Then I went to bed.

Forgive me, but what game was this quote from? Were they just showing it last night?
