Am I the only one that is concerned sickened that Mangini publicly stated that Mcdaniels would make a great head coach?
This concerns me for a number of reasons.
One being can Manjudas do more to throw salt on BB?
obviously he's trying to weaken his opponent us by losing the cohesiveness that this unit has been able to build.
Second Brady is putting up his best numbers the Line is blocking great in pass protection receivers are not missing assignments or running wrong routes.
Moss is happy as he's ever been I have to think that part of that is from Mcdaniels continuity he has built with the whole offense.
I would love to see the Kraft's pay Mcdaniels a little less than a head coach and assure him that when BB is ready to ride off into the sunset he will inherit what he had a hand in creating.
It makes me sick to think Mcdaniels could take his succeeding offense to say the Miami tunas.
There are a few teams I think would jump at Mcdaniels you have to look at St Louis, Atlanta, Kansas city, Cincy, as other possible destinations.
I want to see this offense as intact as possible next year regardless of the outcome this year.
I think if BB and Kraft make a strong future commitment to the Josh that he would stay.
It's win win he coaches Tom while he's in his prime and then BB becomes head of football operations while Josh takes the head coach job does anybody see this as a possible resolution?
I was a strong advocate that Manjudas was the future of this franchise and now I spit at his name.
I don't want to have to look at Mcdaniels in that same negative light.
GO PATRIOTS!

I think part of your Title got cut off.

It just says "Is anybody else?"

You might want to go back and edit it because otherwise it's impossible to know what the thread is about.

Nah, but I have publicly stated that Mangini is totally inept as a head coach, and would make a great hall monitor. Does that make you feel any better?

Not every situation is like Manginis.
2 words for you.
Romeo Crennel!
Go Romeo!
Frankly I think Josh needs at least another year of seasoning before being a HC,but if it happens good luck to him.
I don't like this anointed successor stuff,it is not important, wasn't BB going to be the HC of the NY J E T S?

Yeah, I could not help but get pissed at Mangini's calculated comments. He knew exactly what he was doing. And believe me, it did not go unnoticed by BB and the front office. This is just part of the gamemanship between these two franchises.
I'm not ready to make that king of committment to McDaniels. He's young and still has a lot to learn. From where I sit, Magidiot bolting after a year as a DC has become the posterboy for takinga job when not ready for it. If McDaniels is smart, he's going to be seeing that and wanting more seasoning. I mean how successful could he be taking on one of these doormat farnchises that would be desperate enough to give him the HC job?
Its a recipe for failure.
What he ought to do is bide his time learn from the master and wait for the right situation to show itself, whether that is taking over the Pats HC position or going to another franchise.
Respects.

Who gives a crap if McDaniels does leave. Do you really think the success of this offense is because of him?

This is not an issue on my radar. If you take offense at everything that is said, you'll spend most of your life swinging your wooden sword at windmills. Yes, this comment was calculated. Look at it this way, why does Mangini feel so threatened that he's always got to play games by spouting the transparent subterfuge he puts forth under the guise of being a nice and open guy. If you've ever seen him in an interview, he's becomes a Sesame Street character with his desire to appear warm and open. In reality, I favor Belichick's personality, because while he doesn't reveal much, he's no bullshyte artist.

Honestly, I don't think even Norv Turner could screw up Pats offense with Moss and Brady on board. I do think what Mangini is doing is almost comical at this point, trying to get back at Pats as best as he can. He really ought to worry about his own job.

Gotta go with the rest here, we're alright without him. If Joshy is smart he stays here for a bit though. It would really raise his stock and prepare him more.

I guess you guys all have valid points, my concern is just the chemistry being broken and maybe they bring in a coach that Brady and Moss is not comfortable with.
Also it be nice to not always have our staff raided is all.
I would be happy for him if he got another hc job just hopefully with the NFC as opposed to within our conference.
Well who do you think would replace Josh if he is courted away?

if I had mangina's record I'd watch my mouth talking other people up as possible head coaches......

Uh oh! We should immediately go into panic mode and worry about this Mangini comment because of course nobody in the entire NFL would have thought of Josh except that Mangini mentioned him as a potential HC candidate! And worse yet, BB has absolutely no plan whatsoever for a line of sucession here. He never plans ahead, no siree.

No need for the sarcasm here man were all fans I'm just stating that i'm getting disgusted of always having coaches poached of our staff.
I understand BB is as calculated and thorough than any other coach in this game
Believe me I know that as well.
Although don't go thinking for a moment that training coaches just to have them for merely a season or two to run his units doesn't eat at him a little bit.
He's human as much as anyone and it has to irk him maybe in the tiniest form.
The thing is I merely created the post to show how underhanded and low Mangina has truly become since leaving here.
So if you want to attack my post man be my guest I guess it's just one of those things to make the common fan say hmm?
Have a great holiday anyway.

It's just the cost of doing business and being successful. And you should not foget that we had a pretty good run where neither or OC or DC were "poached". 3 Superbowls worth, in fact!

I agree...I'll pay for Josh's bus ticket out of town.

Is anyone else...constipated?

No, I'm not, thank you very much.

Mcdaniels is what.....31 years old? NO previous HC experience.....and only experience being the past few years at the feet of BB? No....I don't see anyone hiring him as a HC.......and if they do....the guy will be a miserable failure......Last year I felt his playcalling was horrific (sounded like NEM).....this year with all the weaponry his calls are much better.....HOWEVER, all too often I think he gets a brainfart and sends in the dumbest or least appropriate plays at the wrong time........I think Josh has alot of potential....and his time should come......but he still has several more years of seasoning to go before he will be ready for HC job

But....after that long winded post......to answer your question....would I be upset if Josh left.....Absolutely not....this O will score with or without Josh McDaniels....that is for damned sure!!! GO PATS.....F' Mangina!!!

I don't care if McDaniels leaves, and I don't think there was any premeditated intent to unsettle the Patriots front office in those words too. They were probably just compliments to pimp a man who he probably considers a friend. No harm intended.
